Tekashi 6ix9ine "admits to everything" was the New York Times' take as it profiled the rainbow rapper this week – the 24-year-old's candid, in-depth, and open interview stuck to the headline. 6ix9ine, real name Daniel Hernandez, may be making headlines for dangerously trolling gang members following his now-ended house arrest, but his interview took him back to the criminal history – and jail time – he's known for.

In 2015, Tekashi filmed an underage girl performing a sex act. The 13-year-old was revisited as the "GOOBA" rapper spoke to the New York Times.

Tekashi was reminded that he'd pled guilty to use of a child in a sexual performance, told he was "seen in videos miming graphic acts and touching a 13-year-old while she performed sex acts on other men."

The rapper, asked if he's "atoned" for that, replied: "Of course" – prior to his more recent gang arrest, 6ix9ine was sentenced to four years' probation and 1,000 hours community service in 2018.

"I admit to all my wrongs, right?" he continued, then addressing pleading guilty to using a child in a sexual performance.

Hernandez continued:

"The thing with a 13-year-old girl, I was at the wrong place at the wrong time. The justice system makes you feel so guilty for something and they beat it into your head. “You’re not taking responsibility for it!”

Tekashi, gearing up for the September 4 release of his new "Tattle Tales" album, did speak of his music and massive drive for global fame, but he stuck to the question when asked – "Yes, I was making Instagram videos, a whole bunch of content," he replied when prompted over the 2015 pleading re: the teen girl.

Tekashi replied:

"That tore me apart. My whole life felt like it was coming crashing down. I’m in the interrogation room like, what did I do? “Damn, my life is over.”"

6ix9ine added that he doesn't wake up every day and wonder: "Does this person like me?" Instead, he says: "How can this person hate me even more."

"Going back to the 13-year-old girl," he continued: "I was 18 at the time. Am I this 40-year-old Jeffrey Epstein type?"

Tekashi then referenced deceased rapper Tupac Shakur, himself convicted of felony sex abuse back in 1994.

Headlines through late August have exploded for 6ix9ine, also seeing his girlfriend Jade, real name Rachel Wattley and seen below, get in on the action via joking Instagram captions – she can "only fly private" because people want the rapper dead.

Tekashi, who testified against the Nine Trey gang in a New York court, earning him his "snitch" reputation," has been trolling gang members in Chicago and L.A., also tossing $100 cash bills into streets and pulling stunts with his security. He recently admitted his behavior was "reckless."

The rapper's house arrest formed the end of his recent two-year sentence for charges including racketeering. He was released from prison in April on account of coronavirus.
