Miley Cyrus straight-up admitted that she didn't eat the pizza she was holding today – it was four-day-old Indian food instead as the 27-year-old celebrated snagging two awards at last night's VMAs. Miley updated her Instagram on Sunday night with posed red carpet images of herself in her stunning, sheer Mugler dress. The update landing on the "Slide Away" singer's feed on Monday afternoon was way more chilled.
Miley's VMAs wins also came with her first live performance of August-dropped single "Midnight Sky." Check out the look below, complete with the pizza.

Scroll for the photo. Miley, followed by 114 million on Instagram, has been fronting media outlets for rocking up to the MTV annual event – held in locations across NYC on Sunday – in an eye-catching look with a mirror ball finish. The former "Hannah Montana" star had opted for a strapless black gown that was fully sheer bar glittery, reflective mirror balls – the classy number came complete with elbow gloves, a black panties flash, plus a bandeau bra.
Today was all about the snacking.

Miley did not manage a win for disco-ball-centric track "Midnight Sky." The single coming shortly after the singer's split from 23-year-old boyfriend Cody Simpson comes complete with a retro music video, although it was Miley's 2019-released "Mother's Daughter" video – yes, the latex look one – that won Miley both Best Editing and Best Art Direction last night.
The pizza shot, showing Cyrus seated on trailer steps and with a slice held to her lips, came captioned:
"Truth is I didn't eat the pizza...I had 4 day old indian food to celebrate instead."

If you're a Miley fan, you're likely familiar with the headline-making "Mother's Daughter" track dropping last year as part of the singer's six-track "SHE IS COMING" EP. The edgy music video that saw mom Tish join in flew the flag for body positivity, equality, and inclusivity, although Miley faced backlash for sexually-charged scenes that included self-touching and the singer in a skin-tight latex catsuit with bullet studding at the nether regions.
"Mother's Daughter" did, however, highlight disabilities, feature people of color, and address feminist issues, seeing a period pad shown.

Miley recently took to Instagram with a 2013 throwback from her smash hit "Wrecking Ball." The singer posted a clip from the music video showing her then-famous blonde crop and bold red lips, also thanking fans for their support. The "Bright Minded" Instagram host shouted out fans, writing:
"7 years of Wrecking Ball. My concept of time is completely askew. Feels like a lifetime ago... but somehow only yesterday. Thank you for all the support you gave me then and of course the love you’re continuing to show my art today. Forever grateful & inspired."
