Kaley Cuoco Ditches Beloved Nighties, Gets Masked Up for Work

Kaley Cuoco has made it through her mandatory two-week quarantine after traveling back to New York to resume work on her upcoming series, "The Flight Attendant," and now is back on set ready to rock and roll. The former "Big Bang Theory" star took to Instagram on Monday morning and revealed to fans that the action was about to get underway on the highly-anticipated TV show, which is slated for a premiere on HBO's new digital streaming service, HBO Max.

Cuoco, who is both starring and co-executive producing the upcoming series, "The Flight Attendant," showed that she was back on set with co-star, Michiel Huisman.

"We’re back!! Keeping our distance of course!" the TV star wrote while showing herself and Huisman masked up and maintaining a safe distance from each other.

The production originally began filming back in March but shut down due to coronavirus.

Huisman is set to play the male lead in the series, which has been adapted from the 2018 novel of the same name by Chris Bohjalia.

"The Flight Attendant" is extremely important to Kaley Cuoco, as it is the first major production she's involved with after wrapping up her long-running tenure on CBS' "The Big Bang Theory." Cuoco said that she was searching for the "perfect project" when she came across the story for "The Flight Attendant."

"I've been looking at books and stuff to maybe produce or different stories that kind of were interesting to me but nothing excited me," she explained during the TCA's earlier this month.

It was clearly important to Cuoco, who needed to spend two-weeks in quarantine with her sister, Briana Cuoco, to get cleared for production to resume. During the downtime, the star could be seen spending much of the day hanging out in her favorite nightgowns and playing with her dog, Dumpy.

Cuoco also admitted that she didn't exactly read the entire book of "The Flight Attendant" before making a move to legally lock up the rights for a show.

"And honestly, I read one little snippet, a line of the book on Amazon – it just was one sentence and I got this weird chill and I called my team and said, 'Hey, I've got to look at the rights for this book.’ And I was like, 'Oh yeah, I totally read the book.' I had not read the book, but something had told me to jump on this."

"The Flight Attendant" is co-produced by Cuoco's Yes, Norman production company, named after her beloved dog.

According to a description from Deadline:

"The Flight Attendant is a terrifying story of how an entire life can change in one night. Cassie (Cuoco), a flight attendant, wakes up in the wrong hotel, in the wrong bed, with a dead man – and no idea what happened."

The show, which will stream on HBO Max, is set to premiere in the fall but no exact date has been given yet.
