Pokimane's real name is Imane Anys, and she was born on May 14th, 1996 in Morocco, North Africa to French parents. Her family moved to Canada when she was four years old, where she grew up speaking three languages: English, French, and Darija. This last language is the name of the Arabic dialect that is spoken within Morocco. Pokimane continues to hold dual citizenship in Canada and Morocco while she currently lives in the US.
