Selma Blair Stuns Poolside In Mini Shorts While Kicking Off Weekend

Selma Blair is relatable AF with every other parent out there as she gets real about managing a stressful week with her child at home as she counts down the minutes until the weekend officially begins. The "Cruel Intentions" star took to Instagram on Friday morning to vent a bit about what it was like being home with her son and enjoying a bit of fun after days of being pushed to the brink of insanity by the little one who she loves.

While displaying an action shot of her 9-year-old son, Arthur, jumping into the pool, Selma Blair sat off to the side and stared back into the camera with a smoldering gaze.

"It’s a wonder to me. This picture. Because ... this boy of mine laughed all day as he pushed every button til I screamed," the actress captioned her photo.

She added, "And he laughed. And then he jumped in the pool to get away. And ... all was right in our world again. Essentially."

Blair looked absolutely stunning in tiny white shorts and a striped shirt while opting for relaxed footwear with a pair of sneakers.

While reflecting back on a tough week, Blair reminded herself, "If everything were this easy. It’s almost the weekend. Love the ones you’re with."

Fans praised Blair for being real about the struggles of parenting, with one fan explaining, "keeping your cool is the hardest part about being a parent."

Blair responded to the fan about her own episode, admitting, "man. I just screamed. And it almost felt a relief til he laughed."

In support of another parent who thanked the star for making her feel like she wasn't alone in "bad parenting," Blair wrote, "I am a total failure half the day. It’s amazing!!!!?? He is not an ideal roomie. But he is my ideal child. Somehow. Still."

The star has been enjoying the time she's been able to share with her family during the COVID-19 pandemic. Recently, Blair joined her ex, Jason Bleick, and their son, on a trip to the beach.

"We took a family road trip to the beach. It was perfect. The ocean still the constant pulling us all in with laughter and wonder as it always has. Roaming the beach together, Arthur digging for clams and showing me how. The love all around," Blair wrote while showing off a collection of beautiful photos from the day at the beach.
