Keke Palmer can seemingly transform into any iconic ‘VMA’ winners!
The actress and host magically transformed into one of the Spice Girls on Thursday to tease her upcoming hosting gig at the MTV “Video Music Awards.” Palmer wore a metallic, strapless dress and busted out some choreographed moves to the classic song, “Spice Up Your Life.” Keke has been teasing the highly anticipated award show all week by channeling past performers and winners. A few days ago, she took it back to the ’80s with Janet Jackson vibes.
“Maybe I should go old school and SPICE it up when I host the @vmas!! See what I wear this Sunday 8/30 at 8pm at the 2020 #VMAs on @mtv ?,” she captioned the silvery dress video.
Keke didn’t specifically say which Spice Girl she was trying to be but we were getting major Posh Spice vibes from the star. It was a combination of her straight hair and the way she was almost too cool to perform the dance moves made us think of Victoria Beckham.
“Keke does no wrong ?,” a complimentary follower wrote while another said, “Wife of the year ?.”
As we previously mentioned, Keke channeled Janet and danced to “Nasty” for another teaser clip. She wore a red leather jacket that would make Jackson proud and served up some attitude with a smile.
“If I had hosted the #VMAs in the 1980’s we all would have been a little NASTY ??. See how we do it in 2020 when I host the @vmas this Sunday 8/30 at 8pm on @mtv,” she wrote alongside the clip.
Keke celebrated her 27th birthday on the 26 and she penned a lengthy message explaining how grateful she is and the importance of the number 26.
“It’s my birthday!” she excitedly wrote on social media.
“Wow. My mom had me when she was 26, on the 26th of August and 26 has always been her favorite number. What a blessing she and my entire family have been to me and what a blessing my 26th year was .. my life. I’m truly blessed you all. Not because of external accomplishments but because of the people around me. That to me is the greatest thing I’ve ever acquired. So much is happening rn and work wise I’m absolutely SWAMPED.”
Keke continued, “I’m only able to keep pushing forward because of my family, friends, coworkers and fans. I appreciate you all for understanding me and my life’s work. I only wish to bring love and light, I’m not perfect but I damn sure try to be. What do you expect??? IM A VIRGO, BiiiiiiiiiiiiTCHHHHH. ❤️?♍️✨???”
