Singer Demi Lovato is slamming officers involved with the shooting of Jacob Blake and is demanding police connected to the incident should be arrested and charged with a crime.
The ‘Sorry Not Sorry’ singer took to Instagram to show her outrage over the situation unfolding in Wisconsin and reposted information and numbers where citizens can call local government officials and demand charges be filed.
Lovato included a photo of Blake with his children in her message.
As we reported, Blake was shot seven times at point-blank range by officers responding to a domestic call, and a viral video of the incident was widely viewed on social media.
“How is this still happening!? BE THE CHANGE WE NEED. Call the numbers below to demand justice. #BlackLivesMatter,” Demi posted on Instagram alongside the photo of Jacob and his family.

God please protect his babies and cover their hearts and their minds!!! THERE IS NO JUSTIFICATION!! THERE IS NO GOOD ENOUGH REASON! THERE IS NO NEED FOR THIS TYPE OF FORCE!!!!!!! . I’m soooooo tired! This isn’t the first time Demi has used her huge following to shine a light on injustices in our country. Lovato marked her 28th birthday by launching an initiative to help bring justice for Breonna Taylor.
“Today is my 28th birthday… a birthday that Breonna Taylor will never have the opportunity to experience,” Demi wrote.
She continued, “I’ve launched a Propeller campaign in Breonna’s honor that includes prewritten letters to the Louisville mayor and chief of police, petition links, and donation links. No matter how big or small you think your impact may be, if we all stand together we can help bring justice for Breonna Taylor.”
She ended by saying, “Start taking action now.”
In her post, Demi included a link to donate to the ‘Milwaukee Freedom Fund,’ which is supporting the protestors in Kenosha, Wisconsin.
