For three years, Courtney Hope portrayed the character of Sally Spectra on "The Bold and the Beautiful".

Sally was the niece and namesake of B&B's iconic fashion Diva Sally Spectra (played by the late Darlene Connelly).

Like her aunt, Sally struggled with building her fashion empire and became a thorn in the sides of the Forrester family.

Sally's personal life much like her fashion career was filled with ups and downs.

She had a brief relationship with Thomas Forrester before he dumped her to go back to his ex Caroline Spencer.

Sally then moved on to Wyatt Spencer, who helped a down on her luck Sally get back on her feet.

Sally and Wyatt became one of B&B's cutest couples, however, they were soon broke up when the show brought Wyatt's high-school sweetheart to town.

Wyatt began going back and forth between Flo and Sally. When Wyatt learned Sally was dying, he decided to go back to her so she wouldn't have to spend her final days alone.

Yet, Flo became suspicious of Sally and after doing some digging, discovered she wasn't sick. But before Flo could reveal the truth, Sally with the help of her doctor Penny kidnapped Flo.

Watching the writers turn Sally into a villain upset B&B viewers.

When the truth about Sally's plot was finally exposed and Wyatt dumped her, fans hoped this would lead to a redemption arc for the character.

However, it was soon evident the producers had other plans.

On August 3rd, Courtney Hope took to Instagram to report the sad news that she had been let go from the show. Later that week, she had her final air date as she and fans said goodbye to Sally Spectra.

Hope's exit from "The Bold and the Beautiful" sparked outrage. Fans were upset they'd get rid of Sally's character in order to make Flo the new heroine of the show.

Soap opera fans and journalists agreed that Courtney Hope is a talented actress.

During her final days on "The Bold and the Beautiful," she gave some of her best performances as Sally explained to Wyatt why she faked being sick.

Following her exit from the show, it was only a matter of time before she found another job.

Many fans voiced how they would love to see her on "General Hospital" alongside her real-life boyfriend Chad Duell.

But another soap opera beat them to the punch, and Hope is soon going to be making her debut on "The Young and the Restless."
