Megan Thee Stallion is receiving a wave of support on social media after revealing Tory Lanez was the person who shot her.
Over the past couple of weeks, Megan has been dealing with trolls trying to come for her after she was shot. She has spoken about the situation but never named Tory as the shooter by name. Since the incident, various stories of what happened have floated around.
It appears Megan believed Tory and his people were trying to lie about what happened. She thought the stories being leaked from “sources” were actually Tory trying to cover up his actions. Trolls on social media tried to question why Megan didn’t tell police when they arrived to the scene.
Megan decided to address EVERYTHING in an emotional video posted to social media. On the night in question, she says “I was just trying to get home.”
The rapper said when the police arrived to the scene they were really “aggressive.” She asked her fans did they believe she was going to tell cops they had a gun in the car. She said she was scared due to police brutality.
Megan said “I don’t want to die.” The rapper took issue with people saying it was all made up. She admitted not telling the police anything because she didn’t want anybody to get in trouble.
She said the police at the scene were rude to her and told her she was being detained. Megan said it was obvious she had bullets in her feet but she didn’t answer any questions from law enforcement.
Fans were quick to show Megan support on social media. One wrote, “A black woman can get shot by a black man and she’ll STILL do what she can to protect us black men. Come on fam…we gotta do better bout protecting our Queens. This too wicked.”
“This is so sad…. like I’m disgusted. Not only did she not feel safe around a Black man she knows she also has to fear the police killing her after literally being shot. Man. #ProtectBlackWomen,” wrote another.
