Jamie Lee Curtis is addressing the "nepo baby" dynamic.

The actress is the latest celeb to join the "nepo baby" conversation after the topic got rekindled by a New York magazine cover story detailing the phenomena of the offsprings of famous on-screen stars who find success due to their parents' fame and exposure.

The original article featured a cover photo of several Hollywood stars, including Lily Rose-Depp, Maude Apatow, Zoë Kravitz, and Maya Hawke, donning onesies.

Curtis, the younger daughter of actors Janet Leigh and Tony Curtis, had more than enough to say about the topic since her parents' careers make her an "OG Nepo Baby" over the weekend. Alongside two photos of herself and her late celebrity parents, the "True Lies" actress noted:

"There's not a day in my professional life that goes by without my being reminded that I am the daughter of movie stars," before adding that the ongoing conversation about nepo babies was "just designed to try to diminish and denigrate and hurt."

The Golden Globe Award winner reflected on her four-decade career from the angle of her navigating Hollywood business "with the advantages my associated and reflected fame brought me," which she does not "pretend there aren't any."

"It's curious how we immediately make assumptions and snide remarks that someone related to someone else who is famous in their field for their art would somehow have no talent whatsoever. I have come to learn that is simply not true," she continued in the lengthy Instagram caption.

Over the years, the "Christmas with the Kranks" actress said she has worked with "thousands of thousands of people, and every day I've tried to bring integrity and professionalism and love and community and art to my work." She closed the caption, writing:

"So, in these difficult days of so much rage in the world, can we just try to find that quiet voice that the brilliant movie, EVERYTHING EVERYWHERE ALL AT ONCE reminds us and as my friend @robreynoldsstudio reminds us, NOTE TO SELF: BE KIND, BE KIND; BE KIND."

"It is ridiculous to assume that just because someone has famous parents, they are guaranteed a successful career. Having access to Hollywood may give you a start, but it's not going to give you longevity. Congrats on 44 years doing what you love," one person cheered in the comments.

Others who have opened up about the nepo babies discourse include singer Lily Allen— whose father is actor Keith Allen. The "Fair" songstress shared that she "literally deserve[s] nothing" because of her origin in a series of tweets, adding that the problem lay with people in other professions who benefit from nepotism.

NME noted that photographer Anaïs — Noel Gallagher's daughter, had previously disclosed that it would be "tone deaf and irresponsible" if she did not acknowledge how her father's game had earned her a "leg up" in life.

Meanwhile, Kravitz, the daughter of Lenny, spoke in defense of the original publication when she stated, "it's completely normal for people to be in the family business. It's literally where last names came from. You were a blacksmith if your family was, like, the Black family."

Last month, The Blast reported that Curtis used an old topless pic of herself to raise awareness via Instagram. The actress opted for a pair of jeans for her bottoms as she held onto a fluffy object. The caption read:

"A pre Halloween shoot. Back then there was no Internet and once in a while a photographer contacted you and said that they wanted to take pictures of you. You were excited by the opportunity of having some new images and the attention."

The People's Choice Award winner revealed that looking at how she was treated made her realize that "there is something very creepy about their intentions, which I mistook for interest in me."

She highlighted that if fans looked "back at any of our current big stars," they would discover photos of them "similar to these of me, a young person being taken advantage of by someone with ulterior motives and intentions."

The 64-year-old actress finished with, "Live and learn, and lucky for me, this was about as bad as it got."
