’90 Day Fiancé’: Asuelu's Mother Still Wants Him To Give Her Money No Matter How It'd Affect His Family

Last week on ’90 Day Fiancé,'Asuelu and Kalani drove from Utah to Washington in order to visit Asuelu's mother and sister. The two were happy to see Asuelu and Kalani but had the expectation that Asuelu would be giving them $1,000. This would be going to his mother along with family members in his home country of Samoa. $1,000 was way out of Asuelu's budget so he ended up offering $100 while they were all having dinner. This resulted in his mother storming off..

At that scene, even Kalani believed that giving them $100 was too much money considering their budget. The two have two children together and simply can't give away money at the moment.

On last night's episode, it was a very emotional one for Asuelu. He decided to meet with his mother without Kalani to speak on his financial situation. He emphasized that if he sends money, he would have no way to provide for his children and that they could die.

Asuelu defended Kalani after his mother and sister believed that she is trying to control their financial situation since she is 32 and he is 24.

“I’m not single anymore,” Asuelu explained. “My money, it’s Kalani’s money. Kalani’s money is my money.”

“First, I was worried Asuelu was marrying American girl,” said Tammy, Asuelu's sister. “And then we thought, ‘Oh, maybe she will be able to send money to Samoa to help out our family.’ But now, I feel like she control Asuelu.”

Asuelu's sister Tammy emphasized to their mother that no matter what, Asuelu will do whatever Kalani will tell him to do. She believes that that this is a case of a younger woman trying to control a younger man.

In Asuelu's private conversation with his mother where he explained that his children could die if he keeps sending money, she didn't care. She added that she would still like him to send money to her and family members in Samoa.

Leading up to that conversation, Asuelu had showed his mother nearby homeless people and stated that that could be his family and himself if he were to constantly keep sending money. Viewers on social media were shocked to see his mother continue to ignore every explanation by Asuelu. Even Kalani believed that Asuelu is in a situation where he sadly has to buy his family's love. At this point, his relationship with them seems very hard to repair and the preview for next week's episode displayed plenty of tension.
