Al Roker is happy to be celebrating Christmas with his family!
The famous “TODAY” show weatherman, who has had a few rough weeks from being in and out of the hospital dealing with blood clots, finally shared some good news with fans. He posted a picture looking like he was feeling the holiday spirit and well on his way to recovery with his family as they enjoyed the festivities.
Al Roker Shares Fun Photo Of Family On Christmas Day
The TV star, who was definitely happy to be home in time for the holiday, took to his Instagram to post a picture of himself and his family seated at a dining table filled with some good-looking food.
The happy 68-year-old was surrounded by his wife, Deborah, their kids, Leila and Nick, his oldest daughter Courtney and her husband, Wesley Laga. Smiling at the camera, they all donned identical green colored pajamas with the “Peanuts” cartoon character printed all over them.
The following slide showed the family’s rescue pet pup, Pepper matching them in the Peanuts-themed gear. The star captioned the post, “From our family to yours, #merrychristmas.”
His followers were very delighted as they rushed to the comment section to post goodwill messages like, “It’s good to see you home with your family, Al. Merry Christmas to all!” “Wonder!!!! It is so good to see you all. Merry Christmas to you all!❤️,” amongst others.
Some users commented on his health and missed him on the show, writing, “Merry Christmas Roker Family!! Al, you look healthier with each post you are on!! Miss that broad, happy smile on Today!!! ❤️🎄💚.” Another user wrote, “Happy Holidays, Mr. Roker, get better. I miss seeing you on the Today show, it’s not the same without you!”
It is clear that the anchorman has made such an impact on his viewers until his sudden health crisis, but he seems to be back and doing better. In an earlier post, the journalist expressed gratitude for being able to participate in his family holiday tradition of decorating the tree.
The Blast noted that Roker went through surgery to treat blood clots in his lungs which ended in him being hospitalized for a whole month. Following the forced rest, he posted a slew of pictures to his page showing his children and wife standing close to the well-lit Christmas tree with several ornaments.
The slide started with the 24-year-old beaming as she posed on a ladder next to the tree holding a red ball. The following slides featured Deborah, the 20-year-old, and the oldtimer sporting huge smiles as they held and placed different ornaments on it.
The last image in the carousel showed the family looking content as they stood together proudly, holding their little pup. Looking hale and hearty, the author captioned the post, “So thankful to be well enough to decorate the Roker Family #christmastree.”
‘The Proud Family: Louder and Prouder’ Guest Star Advices Fans Concerning The Weather
Despite being hospitalized, the actor refused to leave everyone hanging amidst the heavy snowfall. The Blast shared that the TV personality gifted his fans with a weather update that indicated heavier snowfall.
The “Ghostbusters” guest star uploaded a video showing two different scenes – outdoors in his front yard and indoors. Outdoors, the “WWE WrestleMania 33” announcer filmed how heavily the snow was falling as he zoomed in and out in order to show everyone his leafless surroundings.
Despite the snow coverage, there was a path cleared to the door to serve as a walkway to prevent anyone from slipping on the snow. As his dog enjoyed the flakes, the bottom video was a clear contrast as it contained a lovely view of his home’s indoor fireplace lit with burning logs.
The wooden hearth gave off warm vibes and a golden glow alongside the sound of crackling wood. The “Sharknado 5: Global Swarming” actor captioned the post, “It’s beginning to look a like lot #christmas, but please take your time getting to where you need to. Sometimes, if you can, delaying and waiting is the way to go.”
