After defending Kanye West and his Hitler comments, Akon is standing up for another star, and this time it's Nick Cannon. The only grief that Cannon gets is his propensity to spread his seed far and wide and make tons of babies, something the "Smack That" singer is more than happy to get behind.

So here's what Akon had to say about Cannon as Zeze Millz quizzed him about responsibility and fatherhood...

Now, when it comes to Nick Cannon, he has 11 kids with the 12th on the way. He started his fatherhood journey with twins Moroccan and Monroe with ex-wife Mariah Carey; before having sons Golden Sagon and Rise Messiah Cannon along with daughter Powerful Queen with Brittany Bell. He also fathered twins Zion Mixolydian and Zillion Heir and daughter Beautiful Zeppelin with Abby De La Rosa; and followed it up with two more baby mamas, son Legendary Love with Bre Tiesi; and daughter Onyx Ice Cole with LaNisha Cole.

Finally, Cannon is also father to son Zen with Alyssa Scott who sadly died at five months old in December 2021 after being diagnosed with brain cancer. And now Scott is pregnant with another boy from Cannon, expected sometime in 2023.

Clearly, Cannon took the "go forth and multiply" bit rather seriously. Akon, meanwhile, is also not a shy dad with nine kids and counting, given that he once admitted that he practiced polygamy and had multiple wives and/or partners and that all the women in his life were okay with it.

Akon Believes Attending Recitals Is A 'White Man Thing'

In the YouTube interview, Millz wonders if Akon agrees with Nick Cannon's immense love of fatherhood to the point of 12 kids and multiple baby mamas and gets rather shocked with Akon feels he's not just 100% with Cannon, but 1000%!

Millz tries to put her point across by saying that having so many kids with different women is not all that responsible but Akon butts in, calling Cannon the "most responsible" guy. Akon went on to explain that Cannon was rich and he stayed 100% behind his BMs (baby mamas) who also lived comfortably and had no complaints.

When Millz wondered if Cannon not being there for the kids, when it came to time, and missing things like recitals was fair, Akon simply waived off as a "white man thing!" Said the "Lonely" singer, "who gives a f--k about a recital" before giving his example as a father of nine children to show it all works.

For Akon, being a father is all about providing for the family, and also teaching them fundamental values and moral values is what a father is supposed to be doing, which both he and Cannon do. Plus, he feels that ultimately, this is a decision between the man and his BMs, and the kiddos, of course.

Here's Akon's take on Cannon:

Akon previously also stated that he believes polygamy comes naturally to men, meaning they can't help it — literally. Said the Senegalese rapper, "At the end of the day as a male we are natural breeders by nature. We can't even escape it if we wanted to."

Meanwhile, his wife of 26 years does not completely agree with the man, although she "respects" him and his work. Scroll down to find out more.

Akon's wife is Tomeka Thiam, and she had things to say on Instagram, including the fact that being the head of Akon's family has not been easy. Said Tomeka, "I'm Kon’s wife. 26 Years Married. My heart goes out to Nick and his Big Family. I totally support a man wanting kids and wanting to be there for his kids as much as possible. I think he is doing incredible considering the circumstances. May God continue to guide him with his family. Speaking on Kon’s family because I am the head of it, It has NOT been easy."

She went on to say that as a family, they all respect Akon's hard work, but bringing up the children, especially when Akon "couldn't or chose not to be there" was not an easy task at all. She also felt that Akon should understand the interviewer's point of view and that they should be grateful that their kids turned out great!

She wrote in her latest IG post, "Our kids are very responsible, loving, great human beings despite the hardships and some missed time. It took a Village without his presence when he couldn’t or chose not to be there. A father’s love and attention in every area of a child’s life are still truly needed so we should all support that need no matter what. Our kids also needed it and were affected by not having it at all times so I hope that my husband will understand the interviewer's point of view as well. Soften up on this issue. Have more compassion."

Here's Tomeka Thiam's post:
