Miley Cyrus times her breakups well, because the "Wrecking Ball" star is dropping a new track and appearing on a special edition episode of the Barstool Sports' "Call Her Daddy" podcast just hours after it was announced she had split with boyfriend Cody Simpson following a whirlwind romance.
The news of Simpson and Cyrus' split, after 10 months of dating and public romance, was reported by just about everyone at the same time on Thursday afternoon, including PEOPLE and Page Six.

"Call Her Daddy" host Alex Cooper made the surprise announcement on Thursday, sharing a few raunchy photos of herself and Miley Cyrus hanging out at the star's home in Southern California.
Hours after the buildup for the podcast was well underway, it was announced that Cyrus had split from 23-year-old Simpson. As is typical in Miley Cyrus breakup fashion, she has scrubbed images of Simpson from her Instagram page after months of flooding the interwebs with their passionate romance following her divorce from Liam Hemsworth.
PEOPLE reports the two stars broke up weeks ago.

It's unclear if Miley will address the breakup with Cody Simpson on the "Call Her Daddy" podcast, but Cooper later dropped some snippets of their meeting and it appears the two also taped a vlog that will debut alongside the podcast.
According to the tease, it appears Miley wanted tobe interviewed up in a tree, to which Alex responded that she's willing to take a tree branch in the "a--hole" for Miley Cyrus.
Fans are waiting in anticipation for the podcast, and responding to the tease with comments like, "This interview may break the internet."
We don't disagree.

Miley Cyrus and Cody Simpson had been close friends for years until they finally hooked up in October 2019 following the "The Climb" singer's split from "The Hills" star Kaitlynn Carter. Cyrus and Carter got together out of the blue following her abrupt separation from then-husband Liam Hemsworth. What followed between Cyrus and Simpson was months of public romance and passion via social media. Simpson was also by Cyrus' side while she recovered from vocal cord surgery.
Along with the public praise for each other, both stars received matching tattoos to honor the relationship. It's unclear if either Cyrus or Simpson will keep their body ink in wake of the split.
