Ellen DeGeneres Accused Of Trying To Get Waitress Suspended For Chipped Nail Polish

There's been serious accusations leveled against Ellen DeGeneres for allowing a toxic and abusing work environment to thrive behind the scenes on her daytime talk show, but now claims of her acting like a bully are extending beyond her workplace.
Chris Farah claims that while she was working as a waitress at a Los Angeles restaurant in 2014, she served DeGeneres who later wrote an email to Farah's boss to trying and get her suspended.
Farah says DeGeneres nor her wife Portia de Rossi said anything negative to her during their meal, the comedian later contacted her boss about her nail polish being chipped.
"She really went out of her way to try to hurt someone who was beneath her and serving her," Farah told the Daily Mail.
"You're going to try to take money away from me for two weeks because you don't like the way my nails looked? It's shitty. It's not anything akin to her image of 'be kind.' It's unnecessarily cruel and out of touch, and doesn't understand the repercussions. It's a crazy thing to do."
About a week after she waited on DeGeneres, her manager asked her about it. Farah, who is now a comedian and actress in L.A., thought her boss was asking because she had some kuddos coming her way.
"I 100 percent thought it was a good thing. She was friends with the owner, and in my mind I was like, 'Oh, this is going to be a really good thing for me. She wants me to come on her show and serve mini cashew cheeses to the audience in some adorable way,'" she said.

Farah added, "My bosses looked at each other and kind of smirked. They said, 'She emailed Anne [the owner] and complained about your chipped nail polish.' I was like, 'what?'"
She explained that she had worked until closing the night before and had to be back at 8:30 the next morning so she never had time to fix her nail.
NBC's parent company, WarnerMedia, announced last week its launching an investigation into the claims by former employees.
DeGeneres has admitted that there are problems behind the scenes and wrote a letter to her staff on July 30 in which she vowed to address and correct the problems.
"As we've grown exponentially, I've not been able to stay on top of everything and relied on others to do their jobs as they knew I'd want them done. Some didn't," she wrote. "That will now change, and I'm committed to ensuring this does not happen again."
