The jury is still out on the Tory Lanez trial, charged with shooting Megan Thee Stallion in both feet during an alcohol-fueled fight. The alleged incident took place on a residential street in the Hollywood Hills on July 12, 2020, and while people are taking sides, Megan Thee Stallion's current boyfriend stands firmly beside her, and all women. Pardison 'Pardi' Fontaine just made an emphatic statement on Instagram, so scroll down to see what he had to say.
Tory Lanez Refused To Testify On His Behalf
Tory Lanez, 30, whose real name is Daystar Peterson, was charged in October 2020 with one felony count each of assault with a semiautomatic firearm causing bodily injury, discharging a firearm with gross negligence, and carrying a concealed, loaded, unregistered firearm in a vehicle.
He pleaded not guilty to both charges in November 2020 and has been on trial ever since, and on Wednesday, he declined to testify on his behalf, as his attorney pleaded about his two years of torture. If convicted as charged, the "Alone at Prom" rapper is facing the possibility of 22 years and eight months in prison and subsequent deportation, given that he is a citizen of Canada.
Meanwhile, Megan Thee Stallion has had no such qualms, as she took the stand. The Grammy winner recounted hearing Peterson say “Dance, b--ch” before he opened fire with a semiautomatic 9mm pistol. the 27-year-old was struck by multiple bullet fragments during the roadside assault, as per a doctor's testimony during the trial.
Megan Thee Stallion Feels Everyone Is On Tory Lanez's Side
On December 13, Megan Thee Stallion took the stand with Los Angeles County Deputy District Attorney Kathy Ta. Along with her testimony about what happened, she also expresses her frustration with how the case was unfolding in the media as well as among male musicians.
While earlier the "Savage" singer had denied having a sexual relationship with Lanez at the time of the incident, she now revealed that she was involved with him, something that has made many villanize her since then.
Said Megan, "every man in a position of power in the music industry has taken his side. Not a day goes by without [me] being called a liar. This whole thing is about who I was having sex with, not who shot me, and I don't know why."
At the time, as Megan explained on Kathy Ta's prodding, she was unwilling to discuss the shooting as she was on an upward career trajectory. "I just did a song with Beyoncé, and now she knows I got shot. I just did something I've always wanted, and now it'll be overshadowed…. This situation has been worse for me while he's more popular — I've turned into a type of villain while he's a hero."
All this is also affecting her relationship with her boyfriend, Pardison 'Pardi' Fontaine, with whom she's been for the last two years.

Megan also mentioned that this negative attention on her sex life is also affecting her boyfriend, Pardison "Pardi" Fontaine. "I feel disgusted, I feel dirty, my own partner is embarrassed," she continued, talking about the continued coverage of her sexual history in the courtroom and the media.
And today, Fontaine also made a pointed statement, something that shows his solidarity with Megan.
The 32-year-old penned a poignant message, writing, "To any woman especially ones of color that has suffered an injustice".
He then continued, pointing to the unnecessary condemnation that Megan has been facing, "I feel for you. When you do find the courage to speak up .. it seems you will be ridiculed .. your credibility will [be] questioned .. your entire past will be held under a magnifying glass .. in an instant, you can go from victim to defendant in the eyes of the public .."
He ended his message with, "To anyone with a daughter Sister mother niece or aunt. I pray for their protection .. I pray for their covering .. I wouldn't wish this on anyone."
Megan Thee Stallion is facing some tough days, as she earlier said on the stand that in a bid to avoid talking about the alleged shooting, "I can't even be happy… I don't want to talk to friends or family."
