Kate Beckinsale clocked herself over 100,000 likes in an hour this weekend, taking to Instagram in a mismatched bikini and from a hammock. The 47-year-old actress seemed to have trouble getting her fans to notice that the hammock was a double deal – her cat also had one, but for Kate’s 4.3 million followers, the update came welcomed.
Kate is still fronting media outlets for being 47 and dating 23-year-old Goody Grace. A fan replying today asked: “How are you in your 50s?” While they were promptly clapped back at, the remark came as a compliment.
Scroll the photo. The above one came as yet another amusing Instagram update from the “Underworld” star whose feed regularly features fluffy pets Clive and Willow.
Today’s photo showed Kate defying her age and attracting the kinds of comments that are commonplace – she’s been called Benjamin Button. Kate was relaxing in her L.A. backyard, seen flaunting her killer body in a mismatched bikini with a bandeau black top and white bottoms while in a hammock. The furniture came with a mini version for the British beauty’s cat. The caption checked out.
A caption read: “Happy #nationalcatday.”
Kate, who was also rocking $890 gold platform heels from luxury French designer Yves Saint Laurent, found herself flooded with comments – not all voicing accuracy. The fan asking Kate how she’s in her fifties got their reply – “I’m literally not that’s how,” she fired back.
While some fans fully admitted they hadn’t even noticed the cat, others mentioned the feline: “With matching hammocks ?,” one user wrote. Also swooping into the comments section was Canadian beau Goody Grace.
Kate and Goody Grace have been an item since April. Trolling over the age gap is a regular deal on the actress’ Instagram. Then again, so are clap-backs. Grace replied today with two heart-eye emoji. The update comes just one day after the couple was spotted grocery shopping around L.A.
Back in May, a source told People: “Kate enjoys his company,” adding: “She finds him very mature, smart and creative. He entertains her with music, they cook and watch movies. She thinks he is the perfect quarantine boyfriend.”
More after Kate’s flexibility video.
Kate’s Instagram, easily one of the most unique celebrity accounts around, has been keeping fans on their toes amid COVID. “The Widow” actress has delivered mind-blowing backyard yoga sessions in double sports bras, plus a giant batch of charades photos as she turned 47 last month – all from the “homosexual pandemic bubble,” per Kate’s words, the snaps have, however, now been deleted.
More serious posts have also been acknowledging the hardships of COVID. Just yesterday, Kate wrote: “There’s a lot going on for our brains and we will get through it. Hugs from my flustered one to yours xxx
