The anticipation was real all week for the release of Cardi B's new single, "WAP." This would feature Megan Thee Stallion as soon as it was released at midnight on Friday, social media was insane. The music video for WAP was also put out and there were a myriad of cameos by Kylie Jenner,Normani, and Mulatto. It appeared that fans of the WAP music video loved every single cameo except for Jenner, as this doesn't really come as a surprise.

Many on social media believed that Jenner's appearance wasn't necessary. People still claim that Jenner shouldn't be around Megan due to her still not speaking on Megan getting shot in Hollywood Hills last month. On the other hand, there is a possibility that this music video could've been shot before the incident occurred. Others simply feel that Jenner has constantly culturally appropriated black women for years and that Megan and Cardi shouldn't be entertaining someone like this on a huge platform.

"After finally watching the WAP video...they really could’ve just edited Kylie out lol like she had no significance whatsoever, she just opened a door....." said @elenalareina_ on Twitter.

"Kylie in WAP was noooottttttt the moveeeee," added @BrianaDaniella on Twitter. " She really did kill the whole vibe."

Now, things have come to a point where even a petition on Change.org has surfaced which calls for Jenner to be removed from the WAP music video. There's been over 5,200 signatures accumulated so far.

The description for the petition simply said "The video was perfect until we saw K and I wanted to throw my phone." The "reasons for signing" section was pretty blunt about why the petition is here as well.

One person said "I was happily enjoying my cup of brown women until that culture stealing colonizer showed up and made me spill. Thank you."

Another one said "She is a culture vulture who doesn't remember her own complexion. Down with the culture vultures!!!"

Regarding the overall quality of WAP, there have been mixed reviews. There were high praise for the music video though considering the good quality of choreography and how well Cardi and Megan performed. People have been waiting for these two superstars to collaborate since last year when Megan blew up as an artist and now at this point, they may have the No. 1 song in the country a week from now. Hopefully, the release of WAP also means that Cardi will release her seconc album soon.
