There have been many conspiracy theories going around as to why he decided to abruptly take his life.
One of those theories was due to finances and being out of work following the end of “The Ellen Show.”
Stephen "tWitch" Boss Had Big Career Plans Before Death
However, the DJ and dancer had a brand-new show of his very own in the works.
According to Deadline, tWitch and his wife, Allison Holker, had a home renovation show on HGTV in development. The show is titled “Living the Dream.”
The couple would help first-time home buyers find their perfect home.
HGTV Show "Living The Dream" Was In The Works
In addition to “Living the Dream,” tWitch and Holker were working with HGTV for a limited series that was set to begin production in January.
The series was an updated take on 2019’s “A Very Brady Renovation,” and would follow the late DJ and Holker as they oversaw the construction of a full-sized Malibu Barbie Dream House.
Per the outlet, a filming location was selected in Santa Clarita, California.
“We are taking the time to consider different scenarios,” a spokesperson for the network told the outlet of next steps. “But for now, our primary focus remains on wishing our best to Allison and the entire Boss family during this difficult time.”
tWitch took his life earlier this month at the Oak Tree Inn in Encino, CA. His death was ruled a suicide and he died from a self-inflicted gunshot wound to the head.
He checked into a motel on Monday, December 12th.
tWitch Left A Suicide Note Before Death
Hotel staffers claim the beloved DJ and dancer did not appear to be in any sort of distress and were not visibly upset when he checked in.
The 40-year-old star had one small bag with him and had booked the room for one night.
On Tuesday, ‘tWitch’ missed checkout, and that is when hotel staffers went to check on him and found him dead in his hotel room.
Law enforcement responded to a 9-1-1 call early Tuesday morning, right before the news broke.
tWitch’s wife of nine years ran frantically into an LAPD station the day his body was found and informed them that her husband had left home without his car.
In the days following his death, police officers released additional details about his death, which includes a suicide note in the motel room.
Though specific details of the note have not been released, law enforcement told TMZ that the note mentioned “past challenges,” though it is unclear exactly what he was referring to.
Holker broke her silence on the tragedy in a heart-wrenching statement. “It is with the heaviest of hearts that I have to share my husband Stephen has left us. Stephen lit up every room he stepped into,” the choreographer said as Boss’ death made headlines. “He valued family, friends and community above all else and leading with love and light was everything to him. He was the backbone of our family, the best husband and father, and an inspiration to his fans.”
