Brad Pitt, Zac Efron, and Other Shower-Skipping Hygiene Routines

Who knew that bathing techniques would come into play in the world of Hollywood?

Zac Efron is apparently from the Brad Pitt school of body washing, meaning that both mainly use baby wipes to clean themselves.

It's unclear when or how Pitt handed down his quickie wipe technique to Efron, because we don't know exactly how many times Pitt and Efron have met, though they have likely crossed paths.

Whether baby wipes is an effective bathing alternative remains to be seen, as evidence of baby-wipers not smelling up the room is inconclusive for Pitt and Efron.

For example, according to Cheatsheet, there have been no documented complaints or rumors about either actor causing a walkout on the set.

But who's going to admit they were the one who pulled the plug on someone else's half-effective cleaning habits?

Pitt has been spreading the good news to other colleagues over the years, too. He allegedly educated actor Eli Rothabout the technique while both were working on the film Inglourious Basterds.

Roth says he was overdue for a scrubbing while on the set and Pitt found out the hard way.

“After a scene, Brad had to get next to me for a close-up shot, and he said, ‘Damn, you’re ripe.' I said, ‘I didn't have time to shower.’ " Roth recalled.

Pitt had a solution.

"He said, ‘Baby wipes, man, baby wipes.’ ”

Pitt's excuse for using baby wipes, according to him, is many-layered: He's Brad Pitt, so he's really busy; and at the time, he had lots of kids in tow, some of whom had their own hygiene challenges.

Pitt told Roth: “I got six kids. All you’ve got to do is just take them, a couple quick wipes under the pits....Man, I’m getting [peed] on all day. I don’t have time to take a shower.”

There are plenty of other celebrities who use alternative methods like baby wipes to wipe away the dirt of the day, including Julia Roberts and Matthew McConaughey.

Roberts' reasoning differs from Efron and Pitt because she apparently showers less to help save the environment. But isn't that why they have low-flow shower heads? Surely she can afford that.

McConaughey's reasoning, on the other hand, is just chaotic. Cheatsheet writes that he doesn't use deodorant or fragrance, claiming that doing so would interfere with his natural scent. The smell must be horrid, because Kate Hudson apparently once brought him deodorant while they were working on a movie together.

It would be great to say that McConaughey took Hudson's hint and used it, and then continued to use it each day as directed on the box, but it's likely he just used it to placate Hudson and then tossed the body-odor-masker once the movie wrapped. We just don't know.
