Tristan Thompson Endured '1000 Nights In Darkness' For Success

Tristan Thompson picked up a few good qualities during his relationship with Khloe Kardashian.

Obviously, monogamy wasn’t one of them, BUT cryptic quote-sharing was something he held onto.

The NBA player recently shared a quote from @behaviorhack about success and how long it takes to become successful.

“It takes years. Then happens all at once. Every failure. Every small win. Every hour spent on a vision, that only you can see. They all count,” the quote read. “An overnight success starts with 1000 nights in darkness. Keep going.”

While Tristan is most likely sharing the quote in terms of his career as a professional basketball player, we couldn’t help but find the irony of it all when it relates to relationships.

Thompson is a serial cheater and sadly, the Good American co-founder got the public brunt of his cheating.

At one point throughout their years-long relationship, Thompson and Khloe began going to therapy together to work on their relationship.

They event went as far as to reconcile in 2021 AFTER Thompson got caught cheating on Khloe several times, including when she was pregnant with their first child, True Thompson.

When asked by a producer, “How are you and Tristan doing?” she responded, “We’re good, we’re actually in a really good place. We actually just got back together.”

Tristan flew into California ahead of Kravis’ engagement in October 2021 and surprised Khloe and their daughter.

“There’s been a lot of effort on his part,” Khloe admitted. “It’s so fun when Tristan is here, he’s a great father. True has her routines and she loves doing it with both her parents here.”

She continued, “When we broke up, I learned how well him and I got along and what good friends we are and what good partners we are. And I have a lot of hope and faith and optimism for our future.”

Fast forward to late November/ early December 2021 and Thompson’s paternity scandal bombshell makes headlines.

During their reconciliation, the NBA player knew he had impregnated Maralee Nichols and was having his third child with her.

During this time, behind-the-scenes, Koko and TT were planning to have another child together via surrogate.

In July, news of their baby was leaked.

The paternity scandal, Thompson’s subsequent fallout with Khloe and the birth of baby number two were all documented on season two of “The Kardashians” on Hulu.

During episode one of season two, Khloe admitted, “There is something I do need to talk to you about.”

She wasn’t ready to talk about the paternity scandal when she got the call from Kim about his paternity scandal.

“It’s a different experience… I think…. Time is ticking and I keep burying my head in the sand, but that doesn’t do anything, so this is where we are,” she told the cameras.

Khloe told Kim about the embryo transfer the day the Skims creator broke the news of Thompson’s paternity.

The embryo transfer took place a few days before Thanksgiving 2021, and she found out about his scandal the first week of December.

Khloe didn’t want anyone to think she did the embryo transfer AFTER paternity scandal broke.

“I’m not a sociopath. I’m a lunatic, but not that deranged,” she joked.
