Rumer Willis Shows Off Baby Bump As She And Her BF Announce They Are Expecting

Demi Moore and Bruce Willis' eldest daughter, Rumer Willis, disclosed that she's pregnant and will be expecting her first child with her boyfriend, Derek Richard Thomas.

The couple announced the good news on social media with a photo of Rumer's baby bump captioned with a seedling emoji.

In a black and white Instagram post, Rumer and her boyfriend, Thomas, revealed that they are expecting their first child together sometime in 2023.

The "Air Strike" actress posed alongside her singer boyfriend in the baby bump-revealing photo that has since drawn a ton of reactions from family, friends, and fans.

Rumer, who's the daughter of movie star, Bruce Willis, was recently spotted in a rare family photo shared by her family for the holiday season. She posed alongside her father, her mother, Demi Moore, her siblings, Scout and Tallulah, and Bruce's wife, Emma.

The actress and her boyfriend haven't shared the sex of their baby.

Upon Rumer's revelation of her soon-to-be entry into motherhood, her fans and family members took to social media to congratulate the actress and her boyfriend.

Demi Moore, Rumer' mother, was overjoyed to become a grandmother and posted the same photo on her Instagram page with the caption, "Entering my hot kooky, unhinged grandma era."

Australian ballroom dancer Shana Burgess said, "OMG!!! Rumer, I'm jumping for joy!!! Wow, congratulations, beautiful woman. I am so excited for you to meet the love of your life."

An overtly excited fan wrote, "I am bursting with joy!!! Congratulations to you both. You'll be the most amazing mama."

A happy follower of the actress said, "Am I the only old person here? Bruce and Demi are going to be grandparents! Someone had to say it!! Congratulations!!"

Another fan wished the actress well on her pregnancy journey, writing, "congratulations!! You know all the things to do! Have a beautiful, healthy pregnancy and birth!" amid a ton of love emoji.

Rumer and Thomas had initially acknowledged their relationship in an Instagram post in November, just over a month before the pregnancy photo. Due to her extreme privacy, the former "Dancing With The Stars" winner doesn't disclose much about her relationship on social media. She didn't formally declare her relationship with Thomas until they shared a selfie of themselves in November.

The actress, wearing black pants and a black shirt, was seen kissing the singer, who wore an orange jacket over a denim top and black jeans. Dolores, Rumer' dog, was also visible in the picture.

Her boyfriend Thomas has always been open about their relationship, as he did when he wished her a happy birthday in November.

"In the short time we've been together, you have filled my life with joy and peace," he shared. The singer added, "Everything is just so easy with you. We sing we dance, we play and most of all we laugh. Thank you for being you. You're a magical human. I'm so glad you came into my life."

The actress has previously shared what she thought her father, Bruce, would hope for when she starts having kids. She stated that the famous "Die Hard" actor had always wished for her to have a son when she finally had children.

During her chat on "The Talk" in 2020, Rumer shared that her dad puts pressure on her.

"Over the quarantine, he was like, 'So I'd like for you to have a son because I need some male energy in this group.' It's a lot of women obviously," the actress shared per E! News.

According to her, that time was not the right time for her to start a family, so she had to wait it out. "It's important to wait," she said. "I think it's so important not to rush in and have it be about the lust or about, you know, that immediate connection, and building a real foundation."
