The singer took to Twitter in a random rant where she implored people to take it easy on Hollywood kids like Hailey Bieber who have spoken out about their relationship with nepotism in the industry.

“The nepo babies y'all should be worrying about are the ones working for legal firms, the ones working for banks, and the ones working in politics, If we're talking about real world consequences and robbing people of opportunity. BUT that's none of my business,” tweets out Allen unprovoked this week.

Lily knows she sounds contradictory so she covered her ass. “And before you come at me for being a nepo baby myself, I will be the first to tell you that I literally deserve nothing.”

The New York Magazine featured an article titled “Year of the Nepo Baby” and many believe this is what triggered Allen to speak up. The 37-year-old began answering questions and comments that her followers had.

In one response, she blames the business as a whole. “IT IS THE WHOLE BUSINESS MODEL. The whole point of British Media is to uphold MALE WHITE SUPREMACY, misogyny is too tool with which they do it.”

She further clarified her accusations against the industry in another detailed tweet and looked for sympathy for the kids of rich and famous parents.

“I promise you l'm not rooting for an industry full of people that had childhoods that looked like mine.I just really think that we can't get to a real solution without identifying the real problem, as fun as it is to laugh at the kids of famous people. Nepo babies have feelings.”

Lily Allen Feels Like They Are ‘Scapegoated’

While she clearly sees the ridiculousness in her advocacy for privileged people, she kept the defense at high level and doubled down with more tweets.

“I do feel that nepo babies are being somewhat scapegoated here though, there is a wider, societal conversation to be had about wealth inequality, about lack of programs and funding, and I guess that was the point I was trying to make, maybe badly.”

Let’s also keep in mind that Lily is currently not speaking with her own once-famous father. Her tweets are coming off as daddy issues that need to be taken up with a therapist. Finally reading the room, the British native capped her tone-deaf conversation.

At this point, we need rich people to stay out of poor people’s business. It sounds like Allen is bragging out growing up rich and trying to justify it by saying she wasn’t always happy.

“Look, I seem to have riled people up with my comments about nepo babies. I am nearly 40 years of age and am more than happy, in fact, I think it's important to disclose what a privileged upbringing l've had and how that has created so many opportunities for me,” she admits.

In her last tweet she finally signs off. “Anyway, enough internets for today, I am abandoning my post as chief nepo baby defender. Have a wonderful rest of your day.”

Wow!
