Justin Bieber Slams H&M For Putting Out Merch Without His Approval: 'DONT BUY IT'

The Sweden-based clothing company H&M has reportedly designed a merch collection using the pop icon Justin Bieber's identity without his approval, and he could not be more displeased.

It is no news that Bieber has had numerous successful collaborations with many companies, ranging from fashion brands to automobile businesses, since he got into the limelight.

However, working with H&M is apparently not part of the mix, especially with their recent unapproved action. This led the "Sorry" vocalist to immediately give them a piece of his mind on social media while warning fans to stay clear of the collection.    

The Canadian songwriter, who is currently not on the best terms with H&M, recently slammed them for putting out unsanctioned merch connected to him. On his Instagram story, he released two public statements on a plain yellowish-orange background and in all caps, indicating how he felt.

"I didn't approve any of the merch collection that they put up at H&M," he wrote, "All without my permission and approval – SMH, I wouldn't buy it if I were you." Echoing his opinions and advice to fans not to purchase the wears, Bieber penned, "The H&M merch they made of me is trash, and I didn't approve it – Dont [sic] buy it."

Both statements no doubt confirmed that he did not hold the merch collection in the highest regard and would not want to see his supporters owning any of it.

A look at H&M's French website shows they displayed tons of Bieber-themed merchandise, including an array of hoodies, tops, and phone pouches with the musician's face on them. In addition, one hoodie features lyrics from his song "Ghost" and will be "coming soon" on H&M's English website.

Bieber was scheduled to go on his Justice world tour earlier this year, beginning in February, but unfortunately, he had put it off later on due to his mental health. As The Blast reported, he previously postponed the then-anticipated tour, meant for the entire of 2021, but could not happen due to COVID.

It was then pushed to begin this year but ultimately did not come to an end, to the disappointment of fans. Announcing the rescheduling update in September, the "I'm the One" singer said:

"So I'm going to take a break from touring for the time being. I'm going to be ok, but I need time to rest and get better."

The 28-year-old then expressed weariness prompting him to make the best decision for himself. At the same time, he assured fans that the hiatus would get him back on his feet in no time. In his words:

"After getting off the stage, the exhaustion overtook me, and I realize that I need to make my health the priority now."

TMZ reported that the continuation of his world tour was rescheduled till March 2023; however, he canceled some shows, including one in the United Kingdom, Poland, Italy, and The Netherlands.

Bieber's mental health seems not to be his only concern in this eventful year, as he revealed his Ramsay Hunt Syndrome diagnosis in early summer. Posting a video of himself showing evident symptoms, he clearly struggled to tell his concerned fans the diagnosis and looked ill at ease as most of his face was paralyzed.

"As you can probably see from my face," he shared, "I have this syndrome called Ramsay Hunt Syndrome, and it is from the virus that attacks the nerves on my ear and facial nerves."

Given the explanatory clip, it was obvious that the two-time Grammy winner would not have been able to sing, but fortunately, he progressed on his recovery journey over time. Furthermore, with the postponement of the rest of his world tour, he had more than enough time to care for both his mental and physical health ahead of the new year. 

And since the Justice tour will be back, fans will undoubtedly be on cloud nine as they may not have to get refunds. An even better perk is they will get the live, thrilling Bieber experience despite not being aware of a specific date for the tour's commencement.
