Mama June's Ex Geno Doak Relapses, Insists He Won't Go Back To Rehab

Mama June may be on the road to recovery, but her ex-boyfriend has fallen off of the wagon.

Geno Doak admitted that after completing a nine-month stint in rehab for drugs and alcohol, he relapsed on alcohol.

He explained that having an alcoholic beverage was more innocent than using drugs.

Per TMZ, Geno left rehab in June upon accomplishing nine-months clean.

The ex-boyfriend of Mama June says he left rehab in good standing with a certificate of completion, but regretfully relapsed on alcohol last week.

Geno told the publication that he hasn’t had a drink since last week’s relapse and has no plans to consume alcohol.

While this brief misstep is cause for concern, Geno said he will NOT be going back to rehab.

Rather, he will continue to attend Alcoholics Anonymous (AA) meetings and apply what he’s learned.

The recovering drug addict tried to end his life last year by ingesting 90 blood pressure pills along with a liter of Jägermeister.

He informed Mama June about his overdose and she referred him to the South Carolina rehab facility.

Mama June has since moved on from Geno with a younger fella and handed over custody of Honey Boo Boo (Alana Thompson) to her older daughter, Lauryn “Pumpkin” Shannon.

The legal documents were filed on April 11 and obtained by Page Six and The US Sun.

Per the documents, Mama June is allowed to contact Alana via telephone every day but visitation rights will be determined by Pumpkin.

She will also have to pay $800.00/month in child support to Pumpkin.

The child custody agreement will end once Honey Boo Boo turns 18-years-old on August 28, 2023.

At one point, Mama June said she had a few dollars to her name when entering rehab in 2020.

Now, the reality TV star is reportedly making $25,000/ month due to her show, “Mama June: Road To Redemption” and endorsements.

The custody news comes just days after Mama June married her new boyfriend, Justin Stroud.

We recently reported on the couple’s nuptials which took place two months ago in a Georgia courthouse.

Their relationship became legally binding on March 23, 2022. That same month, the couple sparked engagement rumors after photos of them shopping for rings in Alabama made the rounds.

On Wednesday, June 1, MJ and Stroud uploaded a video to TikTok.

“Anyways guys, I know y’all been seeing some stuff on social media and y’all have been running our chats and messaging us asking, ‘Are we married.’ Well, we’re here today to clear up some rumors,” June said holding her left hand. “Well, official MamaJune and official Smalls are OFF THE MARKET.”

The couple then flashed their rings to the phone camera smiling.

She continued, “Guys, you know what? When you know, you just know. And if you want to follow our love story, tune into ‘Mama June: From Not To Hot: Road To Redemption’ 9 central, cause you’re not gunna want to miss how our love story started.”

Stroud then lays a wet one on her cheek while she throws her arm around him.
