"Million Dollar Listing: Los Angeles" star Tracy Tutor, formerly known as Tracy Tutor-Maltas, is opening up about the non-luxury side of real estate and revealing if she and her co-stars really throw such over-the-top open houses for their listings.
While appearing on the "Behind the Velvet Rope With David Yontef" podcast on Monday, July 27, Tracy admitted that when it comes to her day-to-day life, she isn't always dealing with the most stunning homes. In fact, she and her co-stars have been known to sell "crap" from time-to-time.

"Just [so we're] clear, we, we sell a ton of like crap too," Tracy shared. "I mean, you know, some, like we put a lot of really pretty houses on the show, but like, you know, last season where I'm showing a house and there's like cockroaches on the floor, like we, we kind of run the gamut."
According to Tracy, she and her cast mates sell an array of properties and last season, Bravo allowed them to show a more vast variety of those homes.

"I think this last season, they, they kind of made it a little bit more or they allowed us to showcase some of the properties that were more challenging to sell, not like the typical, like really pretty house, get the listing, happy, open house, big offer," she explained.
"They were like, wait, what is going on with that ugly house that you have listed?" Tracy continued. "And I'm like, we can put it on the show. So that's, I think it makes it a little bit more interesting and realistic obviously for all the viewers, we don't just always sell big, beautiful homes. We have to sell a lot of sh*t too."

Tracy was then asked by David how she feels about the big over-the-top open houses that have become commonplace on "Million Dollar Listing: Los Angeles" and questioned about whether or not they are truly hosted and necessary to sell the homes they have listed.
"We do [have them]," she confirmed. "I mean, listen, the amount of money that we spend on these events to get people, to show up to them or to get the right influencers or buyers or even brokers to come... it's a lot, easily over a hundred thousand dollars a year in just event production."

"Obviously with some of our listings, we go more over the top than others. But listen, at the end of the day, when you're trying to suck people into a house, you might have to throw a few free cocktails away, [or] figure out a way to like hook it up. And we're always trying to do something different and something a little bit more out of the box to entertain people," she shared.
"Million Dollar Listing: Los Angeles" airs Tuesdays at 9 p.m. on Bravo.
