Noah Cyrus is paying tribute to Mac Miller by covering one of his famous tracks and also asking for donations to be made to the late rapper’s memorial fund. The younger sister of Miley Cyrus debuted her cover of “DUNNO” late Thursday evening, which appeared as a single on Miller’s 5th studio album, “Swimming,” which was also the last album the rapper released before his tragic death.
“droppin a special cover tonight ? we miss you Mac,” Noah had teased in a social media post leading up to the release of her cover.
20-year-old Noah released her cover around midnight and explained the importance of Mac Miller’s memorial fund in Pittsburgh:
“my cover of DUNNO by Mac Miller is out now. in honor of Mac I’m also making a donation to The Pittsburgh Foundation’s Mac Miller Fund to help raise awareness for youth programming in underserved communities specifically as it relates to arts and community building.”
While revealing her track, Noah also debuted some raw and emotional animated artwork that revealed the star to be topless and peeking out with one eye between arms that were covering her face.
Noah also took a moment to address Mac Miller’s spirit directly about the impact he had on her life and musical career.
“Mac you were such a kind soul and you touched and inspired people across the world. me being one of them. your legacy lives on and we all know you and all the other angels that were taken too soon are watching over us. what started off as a warm-up in the studio one day turned into something beautiful. i hope u like this and r ok with it. this song has been with me and gotten me thru a lot of my life these past few years.”
Within hours of being posted, Noah’s cover of “DUNNO” had been viewed over 25,000 times with positive reviews from fans.
“LOVE that Noah doesn’t run with the pack. She’s true to herself, and has stayed indevidual and unique. Her voice and sound is like a breath of fresh air,” one fan commented.

Mac Miller’s fans are loyal to the late rapper, and the positive reviews show they appreciate the tribute to the fallen star.
According to the charity’s website, “The Mac Miller Fund supports young musicians with resources to help realize their full potential through exploration, expression and community.”
The fund, in honor of the late rapper, also helps provide assistance for those under the age of 27 dealing with substance abuse, as Miller died when he was only 27-years-old.
“The Mac Miller Fund supports programming, resources and opportunities to youth from underserved communities, helping them recognize their full potential through exploration in the arts and community building. Additionally, the fund may support organizations that identify and address the problems of substance abuse in the music industry and that directly assist youth aged 27 and under with all stages of addiction-recovery treatment and post-treatment services.”
