Jamie Lynn Spears has her sister’s back no matter what. Britney Spears younger sibling made headlines earlier this week when she fiercely defended her sister from a troll who questioned the singer’s mental health, and now the 29-year-old is doubling down for good measure.
Taking to her Instagram Story on Wednesday, July 22, the same day as Britney’s conservatorship hearing, Jamie Lynn Spears returned to social media to speak on behalf of her bond with the singer and made it clear, she’ll never turn her back on her big sis.
After gaining attention for speaking out about mental health following Kanye West‘s breakdown, Jamie Lynn Spears went after a troll who left a nasty comment about her own sister’s mental state.
When the hater commented, “How about your sisters [sic] OBVIOUS mental illness?” and questioned Jamie Lynn Spears by asking, “Why don’t you speak on that?” she didn’t hesitate to reply. Putting the hater in their place, the mom of two clapped back, “You have no right to assume anything about my sister,” before stating, “I have NO right to speak about HER health and personal matters.”
She then showered her sister with compliments, saying Britney Spears is “a strong, badass, unstoppable woman, and that’s the only thing that is OBVIOUS.” Fans quickly applauded the “Zoey 101” star for sticking up for the singer, including Comments By Celebs which caught Jamie Lynn’s eye.
Reposting their screenshot of her epic clap back, the “Oops…I Did It Again!” singer’s sibling doubled down on defending Britney. “YALL KNOW HOW I GET ABOUT MY FAMILY,” Jamie Lynn Spears wrote. “Just ask that neighborhood lady who ran her loud mouth.”
Jamie Lynn also shared a throwback shot showing her getting into someone’s face who seemed to be going after Britney. In the paparazzi shot, the actress can be seen screaming at a female while Britney Spears attempts to hold her sister back. “And I bet her name was Karen…” Jamie Lynn captioned the aggressive throwback.
Fans have been concerned over Britney Spears’ mental health since her 2007 episode. She is currently battling it out in court over her decade-long conservatorship.
