Tristan Thompson Forced To Pay Retroactive Child Support To Maralee Nichols

Tristan Thompson finally acknowledged his sonwith Maralee Nichols which includes child support and a custody agreement.

The ball player has a one-year-old son with Nichols and up until now he allegedly has not been paying child support in addition to supposedly not seeing his child in person. After a brief court appearance, he is set to pay $9,500 in child support a month.

Thompson, who got the fitness trainer pregnant while in a committed relationship with Khloe Kardashian also supposedly paid his baby mama’s legal fees and of course, he let her have full custody of the baby.

This culmination comes after the two have been in a legal battle for just over a year pertaining to paternity and support.

The basketball player’s lawyer released a statement to Us Weekly insisting that Thompson is cooperating and “is paying, and has paid, child support to Ms. Nichols retroactive to the date she delivered the child.”

This statement comes after Nichols's attorney claimed that “despite news reports stating otherwise, Tristan Thompson has done nothing to support their son. He has not made any attempt to meet their son nor has he provided any financial assistance.”

An insider also backed up this claim from Maralee, “Tristan is very absent from Theo’s life. He hasn’t met Theo nor has he initiated any meetings.”

As mentioned earlier, Thompson was in a full-blown relationship with Kardashian when news broke he was expecting a baby with a trainer he was supposedly working with sometimes. To make issues worse, the 31-year-old was in the process of implanting an embryo in a surrogate’s belly with Kardashian who also shares a daughter, True with him.

When the news broke, he didn’t address the scandal right away, he waited about a month and released a statement. “I take full responsibility for my actions. Now that paternity has been established, I look forward to amicably raising our son. I sincerely apologize to everyone I’ve hurt or disappointed throughout this ordeal both publicly and privately.”

“Khloé, you don’t deserve this,” writes Tristan in a follow-up post after confirming his new child. “You don’t deserve the heartache and humiliation I have caused you. You don’t deserve the way I have treated you over the years. My actions certainly have not lined up with the way I view you. I have the utmost respect and love for you. Regardless of what you may think. Again, I am so incredibly sorry.”

Many followers of the drama found it hard to feel sorry for Khloe and some even went out of their way to share with her that they saw this coming because of how she got Tristan in the first place, allegedly taking him away from a woman who was in a relationship with and fathering a child with.

Theo is Tristan’s third child, his son with Jordan Craig, Prince is 6 and he now has another son his fourth with Khloe whose name is yet to be shared.
