Todd Chrisley Says Chloe's Biological Mother 'Has No More Rights To Chloe Than A Stranger'

Todd Chrisley and his wife Julie could be headed to prison as early as January 2023but not before he settles up Chloe’s whereabouts.

The reality star is still hosting his podcast, “Chrisley Confessions” and used the opportunity to slam the mother of his granddaughter, Chloe Chrisley for even assuming she had the opportunity to get her daughter back. He claims that she “surrendered her rights” so he isn’t sure where all this is coming from.

“It’s ironic that her biological mother would come forward now when she has not been in her life since 2015, and Angela Johnson surrendered her parental rights [in] March of 2017, and we never heard from her again,” he quips.

Todd and Julie legally adopted their granddaughter in 2017 and have the final say over what happens with her when they ultimately report to prison.

The 53-year-old went on to say, “We’re not going to discuss who that’s going to be because we don’t owe that to the world and that’s our private matters,” he insisted. Chrisley seemed slightly agitated for good reason and went on to let Johnson know that she is basically in for a fight.

“At the end of the day, Chloe’s family is who Chloe has been raised with. Her life is going to be as unaltered as it possibly can be based on what Julie and I have the ability to control.” Todd wasn’t stopping there, she “has no [more] rights to Chloe than a stranger on the street does,” he insisted.

Chrisley reminded Johnson that she willingly went in front of a judge and gave up her parental rights.

Todd recalled the day that Angela gave up custody of Chloe. “Angela Johnson literally surrendered her rights to her child. She did this in front of a judge. The judge explained to her, ‘You understand what you’re doing? You understand that you’re surrendering the rights of your child?'”

Angela apparently even denied that she was offered any kind of compensation, “anything financial” and she has not been “threatened”. In case anyone was unclear of what Todd was saying, knowing he can be long-winded at times, he says;

“Just so the record is very, very clear: Angela Johnson has no rights to Chloe. Her rights were terminated. She has been legally adopted.”

Todd also went on to claim that Angela “was just using us for the money.” He claims they purchased a condo for her, a car (a Prius, to be exact), and her nursing school tuition, and all because she never wanted to have to tell Chloe that he “allowed her mother to be in the streets.”

Todd informed his followers that even after helping the single mom, she was unable to take care of herself and Chloe. She apparently lost the condo, didn’t finish nursing school, and didn’t “show up half the time” to pick up Chloe when a joint custody agreement was made.

“Angela terminated her rights voluntarily,” he noted. “She wasn’t threatened. She wasn’t coerced. … There is no truth to anything that she has said.”

Todd took some more time to really tear into Angela. He addressed her directly. “What you need to do is understand that I have retained every text message, and so has Julie, with any communication that we’ve ever had with you,” he slices her with his words some more. “We have not released those, but if we need to, we will. That’s just drawing our line in the sand. You have had no relationship with Chloe. She does not have any relationship with you.”

All this back and forth comes after Johnson spoke with TMZ at the beginning of the month claiming that she intends to “go back to court to get Chloe back home.”
