Britney Spears’ fans are set to protest outside the courthouse today in support of the #FreeBritney movement but the judge has shut down the request to film the hearing.

According to court documents obtained by The Blast, the Los Angeles Superior Court judge who presides over Britney’s conservatorship has denied a motion brought by a media outlet.

The request asked the court to allow them to permission to film the hearing that is set to go down this afternoon. The judge denied the media outlet’s request which means the hearing will remain confidential and the outcome most likely sealed from the public.

As The Blast previously reported, #FreeBritney continues to gain support from Britney fans who believe the singer should be freed from her conservatorship. The movement believes, “For 12 years, Britney Spears has been denied basic human rights under a conservatorship reserved for incapacitated individuals.”

The fans have been demanding Britney be let out of the conservatorship. Many believe the 38-year-old singer is having her civil liberties violated and accuse the people around her of profiting off her while keeping Britney on a strict budget.

Britney’s fan also recently launched a White House petition, which if received 100,000 signatures they are required to respond in some manner to the petition.

Britney’s team has been pushing the story that the singer needs medical help and the conservatorship is needed. The fans believe this is a lie and the people around her are only making millions off the singer. #FreeBritney takes issue with the 12-years of Britney being under control, which you don’t usually see unless it’s a child or older person without the mental capacity to make decisions.

The hearing is scheduled to go down today around 1:30 at the Downtown Los Angeles Courthouse. Many of the #FreeBritney supporters are planning to be outside with signs to make some noise for their cause.
