The “Zoey 101” star made headlines on Tuesday, July 21, when she spoke out about mental health issues amid Kanye West‘s breakdown.
Hours prior, the “Jesus Is King” rapper went on a rant putting his wife, Kim Kardashian, and mother-in-law, Kris Jenner, on blast by claiming they were trying to “lock him up.”
When singer Halsey, who revealed she suffers from bipolar disorder years ago, wrote a series of tweets begging fans to stop joking about what appeared to be a manic episode by Kanye West, she was met with Jamie Lynn doubling down on her message.
Fans have been longtime in fear of Britney Spears’ mental state, ever since the pop princess suffered her own breakdown in 2007. Now, Jamie Lynn Spears is setting the record about her sister’s headspace straight after a troll questioned Britney’s “mental illness.”

Reposting a lengthy message written by Halsey and several other celebrities who showed sympathy for mental illness, Jamie Lynn Spears posted her own words of support. Stating that those dealing with mental illness or “care for someone” who does, the “Sweet Magnolias” star emphasized how important it is to give that person privacy “no matter how it may appear to the public.”
Without mentioning Britney Spears by name, fans applauded Jamie Lynn Spears for speaking from experience. While many followers were supportive of what she said on the matter, one person decided to take this as an opportunity to slam Jamie Lynn’s older sister, and she wasn’t having it.

When a troll commented, “How about your sisters [sic] OBVIOUS mental illness?” and questioned Jamie Lynn Spears by asking, “Why don’t you speak on that?” she was quick to reply.
Addressing the hater directly, the mom of two quickly put them in their place. “You have no right to assume anything about my sister,” she fired back. Jamie Lynn Spears followed it up by stating, “I have NO right to speak about HER health and personal matters.”
Making sure the troll was crystal clear where her loyalty stands, Jamie Lynn Spears added, “She is a strong, badass, unstoppable woman, and that’s the only thing that is OBVIOUS.”
