Salma Hayek Angers Instagram With Alpaca Shaving Video

Salma Hayek has been offering haircuts and putting her "Who needs a shave?" caption to fruition. The 53-year-old actress updated her Instagram on Tuesday with an unusual and eye-catching video as she shaved an alpaca on a ranch – while feedback to the "Frida" actress' post saw many of her 15.3 million followers up for some fun, the negative remarks took under an hour to come in.

Salma's video, seen below, showed her in a full farm girl style and getting down and dirty with an alpaca seemingly up for a little grooming. The Mexican actress who last wore a mask on her Instagram on July 4 opted out of one, however, she was surrounded by others in protective face gear – two males near her wore masks.

Salma was shot close up and wearing a blue-and-orange plaid shirt and country-style hat as she buzz shaved the animal.

The video, below, has now clocked over a quarter of a million views. Salma had taken to her caption in both English and Spanish, writing:

"Who needs a haircut? Quien necesita un corte de cabello? #alpacamakeover #ranchlife #alpaca."

Feedback is proving mixed. While one fan wrote that the video was "satisfying to watch," others zero'd in on the lack of a mask as COVID-19 cases surge again – the global death toll hit 600,000 this month. "Please, wear a mask!!" one fan wrote. Another, meanwhile, asked: "Where is your mask?"

"I need a haircut. Just wear a mask. ? Not shaved though, ??" a third added.

The comments judging Salma did not go unnoticed – while the actress has yet to respond, her fans have been pointing out that being on her own ranch means it's her house, her rules.

"She's in her own home. Why would she wear a mask at home?" a fan wrote, with another saying: "Omg enough with the mask shaming!"

Salma, who is spending her lock-down in a dreamy countryside sanctuary complete with her bunny rabbit named Lullaby, was also cheekily told she'd be welcome for shaving "anytime" by an eager fan. More below.

Salma hasn't been able to catch a break with her updates, with her weekend farm video seeing fans target the star's status as wife to billionaire businessman François-Henri Pinault – his net worth sits at over $33 billion.

"We know, billionaires have it like that. Thanks for rubbing it in lol," a fan wrote, with others agreeing.
