Kody Brown apparently ended his relationship with Meri Brown, his first wife, but there is one problem – he never told her.
Kody Brown Calls It Quits
The couple where spent a total of 32 years together, 24 of those legally married are no more. The head of the house, Kody wanted a change, and a change he made even if he didn’t let the other half in on that change.
The reveal comes after the third wife Christine Brown left Kody suddenly after allegedly being miserable for years. Meri claims that Kody was “frustrated” that Christine took off and had “made the decision” without involving him or his approval this led him to do the same thing to Meri apparently.
The shocking news will go into more detail on the upcoming finale/reunion special for TLC called Sister Wives: One-on-One.
Kody Brown Shocked Meri Brown
On the upcoming reunion special Meri shares she was stunned to learn that Kody was done with her. “Then he says, ‘No, I don’t consider myself married to Meri,'” she says. “Like, he just made the decision. I’ve never heard him say that to me.”
Kody has said once in the past that he doesn’t consider himself to be in a relationship with Meri because at the moment it was rocky but a whole ass divorce and I’m never going to be with you again, that is different, to her.
Meri remembers that during the couple's second year in Flagstaff she called Kody to wish him a happy anniversary and that didn’t go over well. “He’s like, ‘I don’t even know why you called me Meri.’ He’s like, ‘We’re not married. We’re not acting as married,'” she remembers.
Meri Brown Pried For More Information
The reality star went on to share with the host that she needed to know more. “I said to him, ‘Then if that’s where we are, don’t you think that we should address that publicly?’ And he said, ‘No I don’t want to address it. I don’t want that to be out there publicly because I don’t want that judgment.'”
When asked by host Sukanya Krishnan about their “spiritual union” and the route it will take now, Meri says, “he’s already made the decision.” Okay, so, nowhere then. For Meri she “definitely would” want to be with Kody if he was receptive, “but I don’t think that he’s interested,” she admits.
Kody And Meri Brown Has History
The first wife and Kody have been married the longest they share a transgendered child name Leon and while Meri wanted more kids, she was unable to conceive them naturally, but by then Kody had met and married his second wife, Janelle Brown.
Funny enough, Janelle left Kody soon after his third wife Christina packed up and left. “We’ve been separated for several months,” Janelle informed viewers. The couple had been married spiritually for 25 years.
In an episode that aired earlier this season, Janelle said; “I never thought that I would ever be in a place where I would be questioning my relationship, but the last few years, I began to wonder if we’re compatible anymore.” Well, fast forward to now and her gut instinct was right
Janelle also had to be the referee between Kody and the six kids she shares with him because of how strict he has been over COVID-19 restrictions and his lack of parenting with her children. The reunion will also touch on that topic.
