Rick Ross and August Alsina teamed up to release a monster new track called…wait for it…’ENTANGLEMENTS!!’
Alsina dropped the new record overnight and included a clip of Ross’s now-viral Instagram live moment where he describes the talent Alsina has and says he should do an album called “Entanglements.”
Well, he did it! And, Rick Ross provides several verses to the track and it is great!
Not only does the duo used the now-infamous word used by Jada Pinkett-Smith to describe her Alsina affair, but Ross drops some mind-blowing wordplay about the star.
You Gotta Hear This!
The singer announced the new record on Saturday night, where he shared a snippet of the song alongside a classic ‘American Dad’ scene where the characters are twerking.
The track’s title is an obvious reference to Jada Pinkett’s famous description of her relationship with Alsina, which she called an ‘Entanglement.’
Interestingly, August agreed with the description of their affair and told Vulture, “If you look up the definition of ‘entanglement,’ it is a complex and difficult relationship. It was exactly that.”
Fans are debating if this is a good or bad idea, one claimed, “King of Petty… Let’s get it and shake the mfn world with this one!!! ????”
Another added, “Bruh you really made a single outta this situation. Ayeee I ain’t mad at ya.”

He continued, “I think it’s just the language that probably stuck out to people. But I definitely have to agree with it being an entanglement. It definitely was something complicated, a complicated dynamic.”
In the track, Ross raps “Shawty leaning on my shoulder, questioning my willpower/Jaded by her beauty but her reputation real solid,” obviously using powerful wordplay about the two A-list actors.
As for how it came together…as you know, Ross went viral after he posted a video of himself discussing Alsina’s situation, saying, “That boy August got real talent now, that n* can really sing now. If that n drop that album next month … Entanglement, the album, coming soon. That b**h will go.”
And….go it went!
