NeNe Leakes Says Tamar Braxton Was Her 'Support System' Prior To Possible Suicide Attempt

NeNe Leakes opened up about Tamar Braxton's emotional state, revealing that the "Braxton Family Values" star was her "support system" prior to being rushed to the hospital following a possible suicide attempt. The 52-year-old "Real Housewives of Atlanta" star took to her Instagram Live to address Tamar Braxton's hospitalization and gave fans an update on the situation. NeNe Leakes' appearance on Instagram came just one day after she spoke out about the incident, saying she had spoken to Tamar hours prior.
Sitting down for an Instagram Live session over the weekend, NeNe Leakes told her followers that she's been talking a lot to Tamar Braxton lately because they are both going through emotional hardships. While the Bravo personality didn't fully explain her situation, she alluded to the rumors circulating about her coming back for season 13.
NeNe Leakes revealed the two had been leaning on each other a little extra lately, saying that they understood what the other was going through.

Saying that she was "trying to be her support system," NeNe Leakes stated that "she [Tamar] was my support system." Giving fans a quick update on her status, the "RHOA" star announced that Tamar Braxton is "getting the proper help she needs," before adding, "I’m going to let her talk to you guys when she’s able to."
That's when NeNe Leakes turned the table to focus on what's been going on in her life, adding that she's "scared" to share too much. "When you are a strong person with a strong outer, sometimes people think you are humanness like you don’t have feelings," she began her message.
"I deal with things differently. I have to be strong for so many people around me. I don’t have a lot of people that are strong for me. I am that person for my family. I’m the shoulder to lean on." NeNe Leakes then raised eyebrows by saying that like Tamar Braxton, "If I told you the way I was treated, you would not believe it."
Claiming that whatever she's hiding has been going on since 2008, the year she joined "RHOA", NeNe Leakes reassured fans that she's working with people who now have her back and "It's my time to speak the truth.”

July as proved challenging for NeNe Leakes, who has been trying to take one blow after another in strides. Bringing up Naya Rivera's death, the "RHOA" said that her "Glee" co-star's unexpected passing mixed with what happened to Tamar Braxton and dealing with her own issues "has been a lot."
As The Blast reported, Tamar Braxton wrote a scathing letter to Wetv executives, slamming them for the way she has been mistreated. She claimed they tore her family apart and forced her to expose one of her deepest secrets which alleged made her suicidal.
