'RHOA' Star Porsha Williams’ Felony Charge Dropped Over Breonna Taylor Protest Arrest

“Real Housewives of Atlanta” star Porsha Williams’ felony charge relating to her protesting for Breonna Taylor has been dismissed.
According to reports, Kentucky prosecutors have dropped the felony charge of intimidating a participant in a legal process. Porsha is still facing two misdemeanor charges of disorderly conduct in the second degree and criminal trespassing.
The felony charge carried a possible sentence of 1-5 years in prison.
The decision came down from Jefferson County Attorney Mike O’Connell. He said, "After careful review of the law, I am dismissing the felony charge of Intimidating a Participant in the Legal Process against the protestors arrested on Attorney General Cameron's property on July 14, 2020."
He added, "While we do believe the LMPD had probable cause for the charge, in the interest of justice and the promotion of the free exchange of ideas, we will dismiss that charge for each protestor arrested this past Tuesday."
As The Blast previously reported, earlier this week, Porsha along with 86 others, were arrested after protesting in front of Kentucky Attorney General Daniel Cameron’s home. They demanded he bring charges after the three officers involved in Breonna Taylor’s death.
After being arrested and booked, Porsha was held in jail with no bond for her charges. She was eventually released and met with Breonna Taylor’s mother. She captioned the photo, "It was my pleasure! I love you and as always praying for you Ms.Tamika Palmer (Mother of #BreonnaTaylor )."
On March 13, 2020, 26-year-old Breonna Taylor was fatally shot by the Louisville Metro Police Department. Three plain-clothed officers executed a no-knock search warrant on her apartment in Kentucky.
As the officers broke into her apartment, Breonna’s boyfriend Kenneth Walker exchanged gunfire with officers believing they were intruders.
The police officers fired over twenty shots and eight hit Breonna. The warrant was in relation to an investigation into two men, Jamarcus Glover and Adrian Walker, suspected of selling drugs. Jamarcus was an ex-boyfriend of Breonna.
The three officers involved, Jonathan Mattingly, Brett Hankison, and Myles Cosgrove, have yet to be fired or face any consequences.
