Chris Pratt Treads Carefully With Tribute To Wife Katherine Schwarzenegger On 33rd Birthday

It seems Chris Pratt has learned his lesson, and this year’s birthday tribute to his wife was delicately written.

The “Jurassic World” actor was formerly married to actress Anna Faris, and from that marriage, the pair had a son Jack, who was born nine weeks premature. On separation from Faris, Pratt married the eldest daughter of Arnold Schwarzenegger and Maria Shriver, Katherine Schwarzenegger. 

Last year, the Marvel actor celebrated his wife’s birthday with a sweet tribute. However, his sweet message was criticized by fans who claimed that it was a low blow to his ex-wife.

As for this year’s 33rd birthday celebration, the movie star showered love on his wife with a well-thought-out tribute.

The “Guardians of the Galaxy” star took to Instagram to share pictures that captured the author in all smiles. The first snap was a black and white image of the couple assuming a dance pose while beaming in smiles. The following image featured the writer alone as she held onto her book, “Goodnight Sister,” which she published this year.

Elsewhere in the collection of pictures dedicated to Katherine was a sweet day moment where the 33-year-old mom was playing with her kids. In the post’s caption, the 43-year-old actor beckoned his fans to join him in the celebration.

He wrote, “Join me in wishing my sweet Katherine a Happy Birthday! The Kids and I are grateful to have you. You’re such a blessing to everyone around you.”

“We love you,” he declared in the concluding parts of the caption. Fans of the actor took to the comments section to celebrate Schwarzenegger.  A fan wrote, “Happy birthday @katherineschwarzenegger !! You both are so sweet and look so good for each other, so happy for you and your beautiful family ❤️.” Thankfully, fans didn’t criticize the dad of three for this year’s tribute.

Recall that last year, Pratt was subjected to intense criticism for his birthday tribute to Katherine. As we reported, the “Parks and Recreation” actor gushed about his wife, and there were words he used that fans didn’t take likely. Some fans opined that the actor’s choice of words was hurtful to his ex-wife Faris.

It followed that “The Terminal List” actor gushed about the children's book author in a lengthy post.  He penned, “She’s given me an amazing life, a gorgeous healthy daughter, she chews so loudly that sometimes i put in my earbuds to drown it out, but that’s love! She helps me with everything.”

He continued, “Her heart is pure, and it belongs to me. My greatest treasure right next to my Ken Griffey Jr Upper Deck Rookie card. Which if you know, you know is saying a lot.”

What triggered fans? Well, it was the line, “She’s given me healthy daughters,” and his son Jack was not mentioned as the other greatest treasure.

A furious fan condemned the post, writing, “This is literally so gross. It reads like “my new wife gave me a *healthy* child unlike you, Anna Faris. Anna and Jack deserve so much better.”

Another observer shared a collage of Faris and Jack before writing, “Chris Pratt’s “healthy daughter” comment might have been an immeasurable foot in mouth moment, or maybe he meant it how it came off. 

He concluded, “Anna Faris clearly has enough love for beautiful Jack no matter what though. That’s what matters.”

One other fan showed support and admiration for the “Scary Movie” actress, writing, “Sending love ❤️ to Anna Faris who has moved on to happier times with an amazing new husband. Who isn’t a narcissistic douchebag. Like her ex. Chris Pratt.”

This is not the first time Pratt has praised his wife. Since they married in 2019, the actor never failed to shower Schwarzenegger with praise. The Blast previously reported that “The Tomorrow War” actor had nothing but good things to say about his wife when he spoke to a news outlet.

“She’s a great mom,” Pratt declared. “She astounds me. She’s incredible.” He also applauded his wife for supporting the family, saying, “Katherine just has the most amazing maternal instincts.”

Pratt also explained that his previous tweet praising his wife had no negative intention. He also admitted that the backlash he got “f–king bothered” him.
