Houska Left MTV To Focus On Her Family & Brand

“We are forever thankful to MTV and our crew, who are like family to us. We’re parting on the best of terms and will stay in touch long after this. We’re proud to have been able to share our story and are so grateful to the fans who have followed our journey from the beginning,” Chelsea shared via Instagram at the time. “Our next chapter in life will focus on developing our brand and taking things to the next level with new endeavors and expanding family businesses.”

Houska got pregnant when she was a teenager with her high school boyfriend, Adam Lind.

She unexpectedly met her current husband, Deboer, at a South Dakota gas station in 2014.

“Honestly, there’s just no one that I’ve met that’s so respectful and just nice and I trust him, which is a big deal, because it’s hard for me to trust people or guys, mostly,” Chelsea told Us Weekly in 2015 about her romance with DeBoer. “And he’s so sweet, kind of like old-fashioned gentleman type of guy.”

Houska and DeBoer’s HGVT show will premiere on January 16, 2023, at 9 p.m. ET/8 p.m. CT and will be available to stream on Discovery Plus the same day.
