Michael B. Jordan is the proud new co-owner of English soccer team.
The actor has stakes in AFC Bournemouth.
Premiere League club announced the deal had closed on Tuesday, December 13th.

The sale was part of a partnership led by American businessman Bill Foley and a minority ownership led by Jordan.
This marks Jordan’s first foray into professional sports ownership.
Per Deadline, AFC Bournemouth has said Foley will assume the role of club Chairman with immediate effect, and he will work closely with Jordan and his business partner Nullah Sarker in areas including “global marketing and internationalization of the club.”
Jordan is in great company. There are a plethora of celebrities who own or have part ownership in soccer teams.
Retired soccer star David Beckham owns Inter Miami CF.

In 2009, he confirmed he would purchase an “expansion franchise” once stopped playing professional soccer.
That year he told BBC, “"I have the right to own an MLS franchise, which I will action immediately after I have stopped playing."
Will Ferrell is part-owner of Los Angeles Fútbol Club (LAFC).
This year, LAFC won its first MLS Cup by defeating Philadelphia Union.
Ferrell attended the game and participated in the victory celebrations by drinking out of the actual MLS Cup.

The ‘SNL’ alum joined a group of about 25 other investors, including soccer legend Mia Hamm and Basketball icon Magic Johnson, as a partner with the team in January 2016.
Ryan Reynolds and Rob McElhenney became soccer club ownersin 2021.
Reynolds and the ‘Always Sunny’ star co-own Wrexham AFC and created the docu-series, “Welcome to Wrexham.
The docu-series came out this year.

Kelly Ripa and Mark Consuelos became soccer club owners this year after investing in a small, lower-league Italian team.
The couple are now proud part-owners of A.S.D. Campobasso 1919, a club playing in the regionalized fifth tier of Italian football, one rung below Serie D.
"The Campobasso project is the quintessential underdog story," Consuelos said. "When I heard the story about these fans being at risk of losing the sport they love, Kelly and I wanted to get involved and be part of the solution."
