Actress Sasha Pieterse Jumps On Chocolate-Covered Jalapeño Trend

Actress Sasha Pieterserose to fame thanks to her role as Alison DiLaurentis in the Freeform series “Pretty Little Liars”and its spin-off “Pretty Little Liars: The Perfectionists.”

Recently, the "Pretty Little Liars" actress took on the chocolate-covered jalapeno trend.

The 26-year-old decided to try the new chocolate-covered jalapeño trend, and she was extremely impressed!

"I had to try the chocolate-dipped jalapeño trend, and it’s everything I hoped it would be. ?," she wrote in an Instagram caption. "It’s perfect for a hot date night and compliments this white chocolate espresso martini perfectly. ?️?"

The "Pretty Little Liars" actress then went on to share the recipe she used for the chocolate-dipped jalepenos.

Melting chocolate
4-6 jalapeños
Sprinkles (optional)
Melt your chocolate of choice on low heat in a double boiler or the microwave until smooth and creamy. Dip your freshly washed jalapeños and coat them with sprinkles. Chill in the fridge until ready to serve.

Pieterse also shared the white chocolate espresso martini recipe that pairs perfectly with the chocolate dipped jalapenos.

2 Ounce of vodka
1 Ounce of cold brew
½ Ounce of Irish cream
½ Ounce of agave syrup
Jalapeño slice for garnish

Melt your chocolate and dip your martini glass so that it fully coats the rim. Slice a thin piece of jalapeño and dip it in the white chocolate. Rest your jalapeño slice on wax paper to harden. Once hardened, thinly slice one side of your jalapeño. Combine ingredients in a cocktail shaker and shake well. Pour into your martini glass and garnish with your jalapeño. Serve.

Sasha Pieterse was just 12 years old when she filmed the pilot for “Pretty Little Liars.” The show quickly became a hit and went on for seven seasons.

Thinking back to when the show first started, Pieterse told Teen Vogue, “Well, I was really excited. I had actually been testing with Lucy [Hale] a whole bunch because it was pilot season. So I was going out for shows, and Lucy and I tested I think it was around four or five shows together, right before we got ‘Pretty Little Liars’.”

She continued, “So it was friendly faces. I had originally tested for Hanna [played by Ashley Benson], and then [making me Ali] was a smart business decision because I was so young. My hours were limited.”

The now 26-year-old also opened up about her character and how connected she is to Alison Dilaurentis.

“And Alison is so fun. Every character is great, but I’m very attached to Alison,” she said. “But the overall feeling was the anticipation, because no one really knew where it would go, if it was going to be successful. You get into that position and you don’t want to get your hopes up because everything is so fickle in the industry. You don’t know if it’s going to get picked up. You don’t know what the network’s going to think. I think it was just a consistent flow of nervous energy.”
