Former "Real Housewives of Orange County" starHeather Dubrow loved the way in which her daughter, Max Dubrow chose to come out as bisexual last month on Instagram.

"Oh my gosh, it just makes me cry," Heather told Entertainment Tonight of the response she saw after Max chose to confirm her sexuality publicly. "I just loved it so much."

As fans may have seen, Max shared her announcement on the last day of June, which is Pride Month for the LGBTQ community, without first giving her parents a heads up.

"I think as parents, what makes me so happy is that she is so confident and comfortable in who she is and has our full support," Heather said of Max's decision to speak out. "I knew for a long time... but I loved how it was just like, and then it was just Tuesday, you know? And that's just the way it should be."

According to Heather, she and Max had an open dialogue about sexuality in their household but she was unaware of Max's plan to announce she was bisexual on Instagram.

Also spreading to Entertainment Tonight was Heather's husband, "Botched" star Dr. Terry Dubrow, who told the outlet that he "always weirdly knew" that his daughter was bisexual.

"And so, when she posted it, it was like, duh!" he admitted. "Look, there's a lot of problems, societally, that we're working through now and we need to continue working through, but it made me feel good that at least, in today's world, one of the brighter spots is that you don't have to be embarrassed or insecure or anxious, necessarily, about coming out."

"I love her confidence, and I love -- I just loved it all, and I thought the response was amazing. Of course, my mother called me and she's like, 'Why did I have to find out that my granddaughter is bi on Entertainment Tonight?'" Heather laughed.

"Something that was so exciting for me is that I come from a very, like, very 'nice family,' but very, like, 1950s, buttoned up. No one talks about anything. So knowing this for some time, it was so exciting to me that she just felt ready to tell the world and she was so confident about it," she continued.

While Heather's childhood was quite different, she appreciated the way her daughter allowed herself to embrace who she is.

"It was so… such the opposite of how I grew up that I just felt like this family and this DNA is evolving and I love it. And again, just as a parent … you want your kids to be happy -- that's No. 1 -- but to be able to see your kids be happy and just putting it out there, it just feeds my soul," Heather shared.
