Kelly Preston's Death: Fans Question If Scientology Views Influenced Decisions For Medical Treatment

Kelly Preston’s death has led to many people on social media questioning whether her Scientology views affected her medical decisions.
The critics of The Church of Scientology have accused members of rejecting modern medicine. Ex-Scientologists claim the church’s founder, L. Ron Hubbard, was critical of the medical profession and had specific policies on it.
Over the weekend, John Travolta announced his 57-year-old wife Kelly had passed away after suffering a two-year battle with breast cancer. He wrote, “It is with a very heavy heart that I inform you that my beautiful wife Kelly has lost her two-year battle with breast cancer. She fought a courageous fight with the love and support of so many. "
He ended, "My family and I will forever be grateful to her doctors and nurses at MD Anderson Cancer Center, all the medical centers that have helped, as well as her many friends and loved ones who have been by her side. Kelly’s love and life will always be remembered. I will be taking some time to be there for my children who have lost their mother, so forgive me in advance if you don’t hear from us for a while. But please know that I will feel your outpouring of love in the weeks and months ahead as we heal.
All my love, JT”
I wonder what role (if any) scientology played in Kelly Preston's death from breast cancer.

In the message, John thanked Kelly’s doctors at MD Anderson Cancer Center. However, many people on social media had questions.
One wrote, “Let’s hope Kelly Preston was given all the advantages of modern medicine. Scientology discourages it and also tells sick people they are the cause of their own illness. #fuckcancer #fuckscientology.”
Another said,” I hope Kelly Preston didn’t die bc of some Scientology bullshit like taking vitamins—yes, vitamins—instead of getting chemo..”
“The fact no one knew Kelly Preston had breast cancer for 2 years until she died is some scientology bullshit. Was she getting medical care? Did they keep it from the public to hide the fact scientology is a lie?” said another.
John was spotted near the Scientology HQ days before Kelly's death.

Scientology posted their views on medical doctors on their official website. They state, “Yes. Scientologists seek conventional medical treatment for illnesses and injuries. Scientologists use prescription drugs when physically ill and also rely on the advice and treatment of physicians.”
They add, “The Church of Scientology has always had the firm policy of not diagnosing or treating the sick. Medical doctors are trained to deal with the physical aspects of illness and injury. A Scientologist with a physical condition is advised to seek and obtain the needed examination and treatment of a qualified medical professional. Independent of any medical treatment, a Scientologist then addresses any accompanying spiritual trauma connected to that condition.”
I hate to be that person but Kelly Preston would still be alive if she wasn't a Scientologist. If she would have had medical care would most likely won the battle against breast cancer but Scientology won't let their followers get medical care cause of some auditing bullshit.
