There still is no light at the end of the tunnel for Amy Robach and T.J. Holmes.
The off-screen couple and on-screen co-anchors are still under investigation at ABC.
The “GMA3” anchors have been engulfed in a torrid love affair-turned-cheating scandal.
Amy Robach & T.J. Holmes Still Under Investigation At ABC
News of the workplace relationship came to light in late November when the Daily Mail published photos of them at a NYC bar laughing, holding hands and canoodling.
Once their affair became public, ABC News CEO Kim Godwin put both Robach and Holmes on a temporary leave from “GMA3.”
However, that was a week ago on December 5th, and the co-anchors are still nowhere to be seen on TV.
On December 12th, Godwin issued a company-wide email giving an update on Robach and Holmes’ on-air status, and it’s not looking good.
Robach & Holmes Will Remain Off Air Until The Investigation Is Complete
“Amy and T.J. will remain off-air pending the completion of an internal review, and there will be a rotation of anchors at GMA3 for the time being,” read an email obtained by Page Six.
The CEO thanked staffers for staying focused amid the “distracting” media coverage of the co-anchor’s affair.
She noted the ABC News team does “important work.”
“It is my hope that we will continue to focus our energy on what we do best, and I want all of you to know how immensely proud I am of your hard work and professionalism,” she wrote.
ABC News staffers and on-air personality are royally pissed about Robach and Holmes’ scandalous relationship.
“No one at ABC likes the way Amy and T.J. handled it,” one insider told PS, adding that Robach’s “20/20” co-anchor David Muir in particular “wants no part” of the drama.
To add more insult to injury, Holmes reportedly had several affairs with ‘GMA’ and ABC employees throughout his years at the network.
The once-cherished anchor is now being investigated by the network for his affair with Robach and several other colleagues.
This Isn't Holmes' First Affair With ABC Co-Worker
According to reports, ABC’s investigative bells began ringing after news of his relationship with Robach, producer Natasha Singh and at least one other staffer hit the press.
The human resources department is looking into the philandering co-anchors past with the company to see if he had any other relationship with staffers underneath him.
“It’s one thing for him to have a relationship with another anchor,” an insider told Page Six. “The question is whether he violated company rules by dating less senior employees.”
Did He Have Relations With Less Senior Employees???
Godwin, seemed to hint at a “no stone unturned” approach to Robach and Holmes’ scandal during a company-wide meeting.
Obviously now, Holmes’ inability to keep it in his pants has really put ABC between a rock and a hard place.
PUN INTENDED.
“There is massive confusion internally,” a source told Daily Mail. “ABC News executive Kim [Godwin] has taken them off the air while they deal with this internally.”
Furthermore, in a resurfaced audition tape from 2014, Holmes said he was a “proponent of marriage.”
Holmes was auditioning for “Entertainment Tonight” and said on tape, “Marriage gets a bad rap so many times. I’m such a marriage proponent. I want everybody to get married. I think everybody should and I think you’re better off in doing so.”
Holmes married his wife, Marilee Fiebig, in 2010, but cheated on her over the course of their more than decade-long relationship.
