With the year coming to an end in a matter of weeks, it is time to look forward to the next awards season. The 2023 awards season will no doubt keep fans at the edge of their seats, thanks to the array of record-breaking movies that entertained them throughout 2022.

Luckily, the Golden Globes Award has no intention of letting the audience wait too long to see if their favorites are going to snag some major accolades. On Monday, December 12, the nominees for the 80th annual Golden Globe Awards were finally announced.

The newly-released nominations bring a lot of hope for viewers of the prestigious award show, given that the Golden Globes wasn't aired in 2022 for reasons not fully known.

The 80th edition of the ceremony is also set to usher in a new era as its governing body, Hollywood Foreign Press Association, is undergoing a major overhaul following claims of lack of diversity, sexual assault, and questionable business practices.

The 2023 Golden Globes Award will air on January 10, 2023, in a live, NBC-and Peacock-televised show from the Beverly Hilton hosted. Earlier this month, Jerrod Carmichael was announced as its host.

Without further ado, here are the nominees for the 80th Golden Globes Awards!
