Jamie Lynn Spears is not letting the global pandemic stop her from working and is continuing to push for the reboot of the Nickelodeon classic, "Zoey 101." The younger sister of pop superstar Britney Spears sat down for a video chat with Entertainment Tonight earlier this week and spoke about the recent cast reunion as well as what's in store for the highly-anticipated Nickelodeon revival. Jamie Lynn also dropped a huge bombshell on who she wants to play the younger version of her character on the show.

Before the shutdown, Jamie Lynn reunited with co-stars Paul Butcher, Chris Massey, Sean Flynn, Matthew Underwood, Erin Sanders and Kristin Herrera for a sketch to air on an upcoming episode of "All That."

During the taping, Jamie Lynn told ET that she has hopes of her 12-year-old daughter, Maddie, appearing on the potential show:

"Maybe she could play Zoey when she was younger or something," the actress explained while explaining that everything is still up in the air in terms of story and production.

"I think we are still having the conversations and figuring out how to tell the story in a way that is going to do it justice, because we want it to be good," Jamie Lynn said.

She added, "We want it to relate to the fans. That's why the show worked in the first place, because we connected to our fans and where they were in their life. So we want to make sure we find a home and the best story to tell."

Jamie Lynn Spears is determined to get "Zoey 101" back on the air, but she's also focused on a new series that has gained popular attention, a leading role on Netflix's "Sweet Magnolias." The 29-year-old star plays Noreen and shared some behind-the-scenes snaps the other day while pining for the days when she can return to set.

"It’s MONDAY, the first day of a work week, and I really miss working. I’d give anything to be bored in my trailer taking pointless selfies, while waiting to do the job that I am so lucky to do☝?Praying for our world to heal, and sending all my love to each of you during these weird a$$ times."

The first season was a hit on Netflix, but the second season has been put on hold until the COVID-19 pandemic clears. The same can probably be set for the "Zoey 101" revival.
