Naya Rivera's mom is leaning on family and friends as officials scour Lake Piru for the "Glee" actress' body. Ventura County Sheriff's Office has now officially changed the status from search and rescue to recovery, adding they now believe the 33-year-old actress has drowned to death. They also revealed the recovery operation has been a "very slow process" due to the "difficult conditions" with divers experiencing "less than one foot of visibility in the water in daylight." But Naya Rivera's mom isn't giving up hope.

“Naya’s mother is frightened and concerned and has reached out to loved ones late [Wednesday night] to pray for Naya’s return,” a source told Us Weekly. The insider also told the outlet that the actress' family held a “prayer service” on Thursday, July 9.

As The Blast reported, the star went missing on Wednesday, July 8 while swimming in the lake with her four-year-old son and vanished without a trace. Her toddler son, Josey Hollis Dorsey, was found on the boat alone and told law enforcement that his mom jumped into the lake and never came back up.

"Approximately 100 personnel are participating in the mission on Thursday, including resources from neighboring counties and the United States Coast Guard."

After news broke about Naya Rivera's disappearance, her fans went straight to her social media and their hearts broke over what they saw. The day she went missing, the "Glee" actress shared her very last Instagram post showing a photo of her kissing her son.

Many deep-dived into her caption and noticed a haunting connection to one of Eminem's songs that is coincidentally about him killing his ex-wife by drowning her in a lake in front of their daughter. They also noticed another eerie post that she shared less than one week after she went missing.

Just six days ago, Naya Rivera posted a smiling selfie and wrote a lengthy caption about how "tomorrow is never promised." Fans, along with her family, are praying for a miracle. The star shared a sweet post dedicated to her mom in May on Mother's Day and spoke about how much she cherishes her.
