Jada Pinkett-Smith’s mom is speaking out for the first time since rumors about her daughter and August Alsina started swirling.
Over the weekend, Jada’s mother, Adrienne Banfield-Norris, posted a quote on Instagram which many believed was talking about her daughter’s situation.
She wrote, “Get rid of the pedestal you put people on. Recognize that people are only people with flaws and imperfections just like you and me. Do that and you’ll be much happier, cause guess what??? They already are! Sleep well, beloveds! #keepitpushin.”
One fan commented, “Talk to em Gam. Allow people to be human. Everybody has skeletons in they closet so #MindYaBusiness.” One person said, “So basically Jada & August was fucking.”
As The Blast previously reported, earlier this month, August sat down for an interview with “The Breakfast Club” host Angela Yee.
During the chat, Angela questioned the singer about old rumors he was in a relationship with Jada. August told Angela he felt like he needed to speak his truth and not allow others to determine how he was going to be portrayed. He claimed he had a romantic relationship with Jada for four years. He spoke highly of Jada and the entire Smith family.
The singer said his relationship with Jada had layers and many couldn’t understand the complexities. He claimed Will Smith actually have his blessing for the affair.
He said, “I actually sat down with Will and had a conversation, due to the transformation from their marriage to life partnership that they’ve spoken on several times, not involving romanticism, he gave me his blessing. I totally gave myself to that relationship for years of my life. I truly and really, really deeply loved and have a ton of love for her.”
Both Will and Jada have come out denying the affair. In the days since August’s interview, Jada teased Fans writing, “There’s some healing that needs to happen…so I’m bringing myself to The Red Table.”
