Randall Emmett Reveals How He And 'Vanderpump Rules' Star Lala Kent First Met

Randall Emmett appeared on a recent episode of the "Behind the Velvet Rope with David Yontef" podcast and during his chat with the host, the movie producer opened up about his initial encounter with "Vanderpump Rules" cast member Lala Kent.
Months after Randall appeared on the Bravo reality series for the very first time, he revealed to host David that when it came to his first meeting with Lala, who he's been engaged to since September 2018, they first met one another at SUR Restaurant.

“[My employees and I] walked into SUR and I saw her and I was like, ‘Oh my god, that’s that new girl! That’s that girl Lala!’" Randall recalled, giving a nod to Lala's addition to the "Vanderpump Rules" cast for its fourth season.
"And I said to [the head of my company], ‘Go ask her is she in the business, what does she do, try to get to know her,'” Randall continued.
But unfortunately, Lala wasn't interested in getting to know Randall initially.

“So he went up to her and she looked over at me and she was like, ‘That little guy over there — not for me,’ but she said ‘If you ever wanna talk business, talk to my manager,'" Randall explained.
A short time later, Randall and Lala, and Lala's manager, enjoyed a lunch date, where they completely hit it off.
"We were just talking about creative stuff. I always tell her I felt a connection out of the blue, she felt like her manager didn’t even exist when we were at this lunch,” Randall shared.
After hitting it off at lunch, Randall and Lala met up with one another in New York City, where Lala was filming an episode of "Watch What Happens Live." However, after seeing that Lala had brought her friends with her on what he believed would be a date, Randall began to feel a bit insecure about where their relationship was headed.
Luckily, he quickly got the reassurance he needed.
“I walk in and there she is with her two best friends — who are great by the way — but I didn’t know [them] and I’m like, ‘This is dumb, why am I even here?'” Randall recalled. “But I see her and she’s stunning."
"Then we sit down at the table and I’m just annoyed because I wanted to have like, face time. It had been like two and a half months at this point. And then I remember she put her hand under the table on my knee to grab my hand and we held hands," Randall continued. "Then right after dinner we went to the bar part [of the restaurant] and we kissed and we’ve been together ever since.”
While Randall and Lala were supposed to wed in April, their plans were postponed due to the coronavirus pandemic.
