Olivia Wilde Slammed For 'Nasty' See-Through Dress At People's Choice Awards

Olivia Wilde’s 'Don’t Worry Darling' won Best Drama at the People’s Choice Awards, but fans were more concerned with all her nipple action.

The actress-turned-director accepted the award for Best Drama in a sheer and lace black dress. the entire thing was see-through, Wilde wore high-wasted fashion underwear underneath but opted to not wear a bra, pasties, or any real cover-up for her breasts.

Wilde was practically naked on stage. Her nipples were so visible and the constant moving and shuffling around she did while speaking only drew more attention to the situation. Wilde was obviously so unbothered and made a speech accepting the award.

Unfortunately, fans, who already hold contention for Wilde had a lot to say about the director’s dress.

“I’m sorry, but just an awful dress. And this was still early enough for fairly young kids,” wrote one follower who we assume is a mother worried about her children’s exposure.

“If you need to wear a see-through outfit, you're desperately looking for attention,” wrote another.

“She could have worn some pasties. Lol,” yeah, we said the same thing!

Some followers tried to make sense of why Wilde would think this dress was okay. “Maybe she didn't think she'd win so the lights wouldn't be on her too much? Haha.”

“Put some appropriate clothes on if you want to be taken seriously.”

Another fan ultimately suggested that “just come naked is an option too.”

Not everyone was happy about the film either. Some people were wondering why it won an award at all; “to each his own but that movie was awful glad I watched it on HBOMAX.” Another follower echoed the same sentiment. “It wasn’t even good and she has issues.”

Some people pointed out that in her acceptance speech she neglected to specifically thank the actors in her film. “Considering how much drama surrounded this movie, I’m not surprised. Rude of her to not thank the cast because it’s the only reason people watched….”

Wilde did take the time to thank the lesser-known workers on the film like the stunt people and assistants etc. but she didn’t call out the actors by name like her now rumored ex Harry Styles and Florence Pugh.

The film kind of flopped and fans speculated it was because Wilde and Styles struck up a relationship on set. Pugh stopped showing up for events related to the movie and Styles and Chris Pine, another co-star weren’t getting along.

There was even an incident during the promotion where it looked like Harry spit on Chris. The whole situation rubbed moviegoers the wrong way. Plus Harry fans go hard and they were not happy that Wilde was dating their guy.

Pugh was allegedly disgusted with the unprofessionalism of Wilde dating an actor especially because she is the director, someone of authority. None of this drama was ever confirmed but all you have to do was watch clips and body language during the promo. It speaks volumes.
